NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Week 1 Other Games

I'm glad we're not playing the Bills till December this year. We need time to get our bearings before facing them. We'll have played 11 games by then, and I hope to see us at 8-3 by splitting the first 4 and going 6-1 over the next 7. Then we face the Bills at home.

Why did the Bills wear pajama's last night?

sorry wrong thread

Not going to lie my heart sunk when Von Miller Signed there he can still get to the QB and wreak havoc! It's already noted the Bills were bringing consistent pressure with Four Guys no Offense is going win if a Team can drop seven in coverage consistently. No QB is going to feel comfortable throwing into tight windows so many things can happen.

That is misleading. They did turn over the ball four times last night. It wasn't like the Patriots games from last year where they scored on every meaningful drive.
They did but they were driving successfully when they had those turnovers for the most part. They were on their way to scoring. The Rams couldn't stop them. The Bills stopped themselves.

Only one of the turnovers were clearly the Bills stopping themselves (the first INT). The second INT was clearly a great defensive play. Both fumbles could also be attributed to the defense. On both fumbles, a Rams' defender got a hat on the ball to force it out of the RB's hand (although the first fumble was by a rookie on his first NFL carry). To say the Rams never stopped them and the Bills only stopped themselves is inaccurate.

I am sorry. Three turnovers that you can attribute to the Rams defense is not the Rams couldn't stop the Bills and the Bills could only stop themselves.

great play by the defense? Debatable. Fumbles are more on the ball carrier.

Here is the Troy Hill interception. It was an awesome play by him. He was trailing the receiver and jumped the route on the ball.

Here is the Zack Moss fumble. You can see the defender got his hat on the football. It was a good hit by the RB.

The other fumble there is no good angle but it appears that the ball was knocked out of the RB's hand.

???

It was a bad pass.

Why does Chris Collinsworth always take one player from every team and overhype his importance?

Yeah, what was Allen thinking throwing a ball right to a receiver who had a good yard on his defender. Give the defender the credit he deserves. He under cut the route. He made the play on the ball. Eight or nine times out of ten, the defender makes a play on the receiver and not the ball in that situation.

Did you actually watch the play?

He threw the ball behind the receiver. Had he led the receiver, as he should have, it would have been a clear completion.

Not only did I see the play. I posted the video. It wasn't behind him. Crowder slowed down, but it looks by design because second angle in this video looks to show him slowing down before Allen released the football. It helped Hill catch up, but still heads up play and the ball went directly to Crowder not behind him. If Hill didn't intercept it, it would have hit Crowder in the bread basket. If anything, the ball was thrown slightly ahead of Crowder because Hill seemed to catch it right in front of Crowder's right shoulder which is the opposite direction he was coming from.

Here is the video.

You'd better look again.

He slowed down because the ball was thrown behind him. That ball needed to be a leading pass. It's plain to see. The first angle shows all the open space, and where it is.

Allen is a big guy but when he runs it might be 1 run too many and he risks injury.

Collinsworth just said Staffords best play of the night could have been the tackle on the Bills player he threw the interception to late in the 4th Q....lol

No. You are seeing things. Not only was it not thrown behind him, Hill caught it on the right side of Crowder's body which would be slightly in front of him. And it clear he slowed down before the ball was release. Either angle shows that he slowed down a good one or two yards before where the ball went. He had already turned and looked for the ball to be thrown to him a good second before the ball was thrown.

Hopefully Stafford will get back into a groove; after being repeatedly forced fed his Little Caesars commercial I can confidently state that he won't be able to fall back on an acting career.
