Wow! now they have to keep Wynn Hmmm I'm sure it's not by choice. OL #1 NEED in the 2023 Draft even Ray Charles can see that.
Why do they have to keep Wynn?

Trent Brown always needs motivation, especially in this heat. He’s a 380 pound man, it takes a little push to get him going.

I think he's closer to 350 now but yeah...I don't think he gives his all in practice.

"Brown is leaner, meaner and stronger, saying Thursday he’s trimmed down to 355 pounds. While some of the motivation is tied to the new contract he signed, it’s not that cut and dried."

The question becomes are they running this full speed. The Pats were a great running team last year. So I'm assuming that they are using practice to work on the ZBS vs. doing what they know they already can do.
It sounds like Trent Brown not going full speed might have been an issue. I am hopeful that the Pats can run the ball because of what we saw last year but the turnover on the line will have me worried until I see them do it in a regular season game.

Here we go again, a member of the media trying to stay relevant, speculating "a feeling" and suddenly it becomes fact.

"That's what it sounds like to me, is a benching," Perry told host Tom E. Curran on a new episode of the Patriots Talk Podcast. "(Brown) didn't play in that preseason game, and my understanding since then is that the team was not happy with his effort level during the week against the Panthers.

"That's what I've come to learn, and they let him know that. I don't know if that led directly to him not playing, but put one and one together. Kendrick Bourne also missed that preseason game. Feels more disciplinary in nature."

I wonder of what Josh is doing in LV is in the inverse of what BB is doing here. LV ran the WC last year and maybe to ease the transition for Carr and others is incorporating some E/P schemes/terminology/concepts into the WC offense Carr knows.

Sounds a lot harder to do than what the Pats are doing, gradually increasing the variety of zone blocked runs. But we should be able to tell over the next few days, right? Not something he could pause at this point. Would need to use the practices and practice games fully.

No ****. Why can't Curren just come out and say, "A source from the team said bla bla....."

Why? Because he can't get 2 sources so he 1/2 asses it.

Not sure if it's easier or harder. Carr has been in the WC his entire career. I guess it would depend on the size and scope of the changes/additions.

Pats are doing 2 things simultaneously. One, reducing the # of options/complexity with the old crap and and two, adding new schemes/plays/terminology.

Watch out for that Bolden screen or run up the middle on 3rd and long!

Were they calling out WC plays or E/P plays?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Well that would suck if that was the only reason we played ok during the 2 minute drill
Feels like more of a Raiders problem. The Pats or any other team would do the same thing to them in a live game if they were that predictable.

It sounds like a Patriots problem if the only success they are having is when they know what the Raiders are going to do. Let's see what happens today.

I wouldn't read too much into it, especially since the offense also did well in their last series of the practice, and no one was calling out the Raiders defensive plays during that.

Very hard when you've been eating with your right hand your whole life and someone new comes in and tells you that you have to start eating left-handed.

Can't think of any two offense that's diametrically opposite, than WC and the EP system, which literally was designed to get away from the word soup that is the WC.

Other teams/OCs have created hybrids (Tom Moore, Adam Gase) come to mind but yea...this seems like a project.

Aren't both teams learning a new offense?
