It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It's entirely reasonable that you would be able to pursue other opportunities in your profession. And unless you have a CNC in your employment contract, there really is nothing that the company you work for can do about it.Brady is not some sort of traitor. I will start quietly looking for my next job while still working at my current job and it usually happens when the job situation deteriorates to the point I finally realize its time to move on.

"Lieami Dolphins". Heh I like it. Can't do much with the word Dolphins. Maybe Lieami Doofins? It's entirely reasonable that you would be able to pursue other opportunities in your profession. Player employment contracts are different though, aren't they? Based on the CBA, agreed to by the league and players association, it's entirely reasonable and expected that a professional sports team can bar a player from participating in free agency while the player is under contract. The Lieami Dolphins & Tamper Brady went ahead and engaged in contract negotiations anyway, a full season before his contract was set to expire.
So, it's really not the same thing, is it?
Reminds me of a quote I just read on Twitter:
“You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
Does anyone think of Jim Gray?
Last time I even heard of him he was because he was the pliable mouthpiece of some podcast Brady was on, but I didn't bother listening to it, since I knew what I'd hear, 100 percent milquetoast Brady ball-washing. Pass. Hard Pass.
Reporting stories is their job description, "ginning up" controversy is not, or at least, should not be.
In the great scheme of things, click bait is gonna lead to the downfall of many media outlets. We're all developing thicker skins slowly but surely.
It's a pattern known through the eons of time, the "boy who cried wolf". Sooner or later you just tune that boy out.
Like others have written, I thought Shaugnessey had passed on from the scene, because he's become totally irrelevant to me.
Same for Felger and Mazzturbate.
As far as I'm concerned, they aren't on the same planet as me.
Due to a highly-competitive market for advertising dollars and a wide variety of media platforms, etc columnists' and journalists' are influenced to write articles/voice opinions that are purposed to raise the blood pressure and there is no better way to do that than to insult the local team and it's fans. That is what CHB Shank has been doing consistently since the early 90s when he became a columnist. What I was referring to is that he's paid to do stories, not root for the team.
Can't speak for others but I don't care if they aren't loyal. What I do care about is the sports media personality talking down to me and insulting my intelligence as a fan.Posters here get upset that journalists don't show loyalty to the laundry. NOT showing loyalty to the laundry is literally their job description. That's what I was attempting to convey, and did poorly..

I am a fan of the GOAT but he loses me if he plays for the Dolphins. I can't cheer for that. I really don't think that will happen though.
Lieami Dolphins - They cheated on porpoise.
I read it, didn't seem that bad. Let's face it. Tom became a Diva and we didn't recognize it because we bought the hypeYes, not sure what he wrote but, not going to read it to find out.

People like Reiss, Kyed, Howe and back in the day McDonough, McCallum, Montville, Jackie Mac even Bob Ryan before his son died and became a bitter a-hole (which is understandable) are/were actually journalists who used facts to support their opinions.
Shank did that when we was on the Red Sox beat back in the 80s. Now he is just an elitist d-bag.

I see what you are saying but I think it is one of those things everybody does just dont get caught. Its probably done "hypothetically" and unofficially on the golf course, etc. Flores ratted them out so they had to do something. It's entirely reasonable that you would be able to pursue other opportunities in your profession. Possibly, but I think it was telling that Brady went to a team with an outstanding set of WRs, basically from the worst set of WRs to the best.
If you are a QB, it must really suck to not have any guys that can get open.

Even so, players don't get punised for this. The onus is on the teams not to contact and communicate with the players. The league doesn't care and has never punished the players for talking to other teams."Everyone does it"
I going to have to disagree with you on that point. It was labeled "unprecedented in scope and severity" for a reason.
You arent implying that the NFL disciplinary rules, proceedures, and choice to follow or not follow them consistent is a gold standard and their actions are immutable proof whether something was right, wrong, legal or illegal are you?Even so, players don't get punised for this. The onus is on the teams not to contact and communicate with the players. The league doesn't care and has never punished the players for talking to other teams.
So that makes it okay?Even so, players don't get punised for this. The onus is on the teams not to contact and communicate with the players. The league doesn't care and has never punished the players for talking to other teams.
Well you are the one making a point that it's okay for any employer but an NFL contract makes it different for players. My point is the league, does not find players to be guilty of any wrongdoing in such a circumstance. So their conduct here is no different than any other American employee looking for new jobs as their term of business expires. So that makes it okay?
It's a **** move on his part, regardless of circumstance.
The point is and always has been Tamper Brady acted like an ass_hole by doing this.Well you are the one making a point that it's okay for any employer but an NFL contract makes it different for players.
