Brady rarely maybe never had 8+ lost fumbles.
Brady averaged 10 fumbles per season and 8 lost fumbles per season from 2001 to 2006 lol

The Bills have averaged 0 Super Bowl parades in 41 years.Brady averaged 10 fumbles per season and 8 lost fumbles per season from 2001 to 2006 lol
Wasn't trying to pin the LB issue on him, just stating that he's a middle of the road guy that doesn't move the needle toward improvement for a unit on the whole not great at defending the run. In other words, I'm not excited about the signing, but not throwing myself off the Tobin either.I am not trying to defend Godchaux here, but I think blaming him for the LBs speed last year is recreating history. The LBs were just god awful slow. There is a reason why Hightower is still a street free agent. Hell, even when Hightower and Van Noy were in their peak form, they were slow for today's NFL but could make up for it with their other skill sets and the Patriots scheme.
It is a better comparison than when football was radically different than what we see today, especially at the QB position. Now you’re comparing Brady in his 17th to 21st season to Allen in his 1st through 4th.
sigh.
talk about intellectual dishonesty
And that goes back to the point about how all it takes is one weak link, and the entire chain breaks. In that year, Steve Martin was the problem. Swap him out for Ted Washington, and suddenly the run defense got fixed overnight. Unnamed executive: “seems like an overpay, didn’t they have a bad run defense last year?” That’s terrible analysis and the equivalent of throwing the baby out with the bath water. That 02 season was wacky.
They start out as world beaters. Then drop 4 straight. Then win 5 of 6. Then drop 2 big games vs TN and the NYJ. Vs MIA they come back w 5min left and Tom has 2 dislocated shoulders.
...and a defense with Law, Milloy, Bru, Vrabes, Sey, Hamilton, Roman, Ted Johnson and Willie finish with the worst run D in the entire league.
Check out the fumble at the 47 second mark from last year’s Jaguar game. I remember all those RPOs designed for Brady…It is a better comparison than when football was radically different than what we see today, especially at the QB position.
But no seriously.... tell us all again how a guy running the ball more often doesn't correlate to more fumbles.... we need a good laugh....
There was a poster here who has since been banned bashed Godchaux every post. This poster also said Barmore was great vs the run.And that goes back to the point about how all it takes is one weak link, and the entire chain breaks. In that year, Steve Martin was the problem. Hopefully Belichick is right and Godchaux actually did what was asked of him effectively enough of the time. We’ll see, he could be wrong like many of the film watchers I respect on this site think. But the crap tactic logic from that executive just floors me.

I am happy to talk about fumbles for pocket passers. For example, over the past 4 years, Brady's total was 4-4-4-4.Tell us again how you like to talk fumbles only when a QB scrambles a lot but not when a QB fumbles in the pocket.
If you are referring to the poster I think you are, that poster wasn't banned. Just took a break. There was a poster here who has since been banned bashed Godchaux every post.

Yeah he failed miserably with Onwenu, Duggar, Mac, Barmore and Rhamondre… solid analysis.
We need a millennial function for those who were kids in the early 2000’s and still have a childlike interpretation of how football works because they never faced actual tough times and struggle to know the difference.
You have a very fair point. While it is true that Brady did not try to be the highest paid QB, he was extremely flexible with when and how he was paid. At the end of the day, he still got his money.People forget, but Brady had a lot of contracts. Many gave hometown discounts, some made him the highest-paid QB at that moment.
What I remember is that Brady got his first post-rookie contract a year early and gave up some money for the security. That was the start of the idea that he ALWAYS took a hometown discount.
I was literally referring to bb grabbing Mac by the hand after the game when Mac was nearly in tearsWhy not? He's a second-year player at the most complex, demanding position in the game of football, in a relatively complex offensive system. I hope he receives support from everyone who can help make him better; if that's "hand-holding", so be it. I want the GOAT football coach/mind intimately involved with the development of Mac (or any young quarterback), absolutely.
I'd phrase it like this: "I want Mac to take more autonomy/agency of the offense this year". Just my two cents.
He was put on a temp ban but there was a question if he would be brought back.If you are referring to the poster I think you are, that poster wasn't banned. Just took a break.
That is not correct.Brady averaged 10 fumbles per season and 8 lost fumbles per season from 2001 to 2006 lol
That is not correct.
We have two DT regularly and sometimes a 3 man FrontThis is going deeper than “how can one guy play well when they let up a lot of yards” so it’s a longer reply than I have time for right now so I’ll address it later.
But otherwise I’m not sure what you mean by Godchaux as a 3 tech. That’s not a role we regularly have on defense and I don’t know how Godchaux would be better in that it doesn’t seem to fit his skill set very well.
Fatukasi Trevis Jones brandon WilliamsWho would be a “2 gapping fatty” that would be better at that role than Godchaux? There arent many of those that actually are any good.
If Mac didn’t cry after the playoff massacre, I’d say we’ve seen the last of thatAfterI was literally referring to bb grabbing Mac by the hand after the game when Mac was nearly in tears
