You can't give them easy points and that's exactly what we did with 30 + off TO.
None of the supporting cast showed up at all. 12 points between Al, Grant, Smart, RW. JB was 5/17.
Disappointing after a decent start. We really should have been in this one more. Especially with Thompson struggling. JT & JB need to be that duo every night.
We know we can play with him in a series. That's not the question imo. It's whether we can impose our will when needed. Tonight most of the squad just didn't show up. I expect much better going forward especially from Al & Smart. I'd also like to see JB try to get a little more physical early on. I'm always saying this but some of his shots and decisions tonight were really bad.
Bad night
As much as I love him as a player. Jalen Brown is a liability in handling double teams. Also he drives me nuts with the jump then pass stuff.I think one of the biggest differences was Golden State decided to get REALLY in-yer-face physical with Green being a tone-setter defensively and it worked. Lots of double-teaming whoever had the ball ate up shot clock time while making passing difficult. As a result the Celtics were left with forcing a lot of bad shots. As I posted earlier, what happened to Boston's intensity? They let themselves get manhandled and the Warriors aren't known for that.
Well, Celtics were leading at halftime game oneWarriors have schooled them in the other 7 quarters.
Disagree. The Celtics were getting wide open looks game 1. In this game, the refs weren't calling all the illegal stuff, the grabbing, the mauling, the moving screens. No wonder the Celtics could not get open. We saw that at the start of the game when Green tackled Grant Williams. You knew right then this was how it's going to go.That'a a wrap on these playoffs. Only reason it isn't 2-0 is because of 1 hot quarter for the Celtics and it happened to be the worst quarter for the Warriors. Warriors have schooled them in the other 7 quarters.
Passing is going to be very difficult when every option is being grabbed and mauled.I think one of the biggest differences was Golden State decided to get REALLY in-yer-face physical with Green being a tone-setter defensively and it worked. Lots of double-teaming whoever had the ball ate up shot clock time while making passing difficult. As a result the Celtics were left with forcing a lot of bad shots. and the "contact" Brown had on the opponent layup. We saw that at the start of the game when Green tackled Grant Williams. You knew right then this was how it's going to go.
that was a blatant screw job by the refs. the announcers are almost afraid to criticize the refs because the commish is running this side show of a sport. I cant even watch any longerand the "contact" Brown had on the opponent layup.
The announcers did criticize the refs in both of these instances. They both said Green tackled Grant and there was absolutely nothing Grant could do otherwise, and then they noted the minimal contact on the missed layup.that was a blatant screw job by the refs. the announcers are almost afraid to criticize the refs because the commish is running this side show of a sport. I cant even watch any longer
