This one I saw explained (but good resource)... His older brother Michael wanted him to be named after Michael Jordan. His older brother was also little himself, so he didn't do the math and realize that there would still be confusion even if his brother had a middle name of Jordan, but their parents managed to honor his request by calling him LilJordan.
