Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

How are you feeling, Krewe?

Bucs take Central Michigan guard Luke Goedeke at 57. They need him at guard, but could also play center if needed down the road.

We had Luke Goedeke as one of five options for the Bucs at 60 on our "Big Board." Another small-school lineman for Jason Licht -- started out as a tight end at Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Here's what we wrote:

To move up three spots, the Bucs send the 180th pick -- the lesser of the two picks they added Thursday -- to the Bills. Now back to seven draft picks total.

Bucs get a running back at 91 in Arizona State's Rachaad White.

New Bucs running back Rachaad White rushed for 1,006 yards and 15 touchdowns last year at Arizona State. Also a good pass-catching back -- 43 catches for 456 yards and a score last season. He's 6-0, 214 pounds.

Bucs are getting RB Rachaad White higher than @dpbrugler had him projected -- he had a fifth-round grade on him, and had him going in the sixth round in his seven-round mock draft.

All three Bucs picks have limited experience starting in major college football -- RB Rachaad White redshirted at D-II Nebraska-Kearney, spent two years at Mt.-SAC in California, then finally starred in last two years at Arizona State.

Arizona State coach Herm Edwards likens RB Rachaad White to Marcus Allen in his size 6 1 1/2 and ability to run and catch the football. "Really good football player. I know Marcus. We're really good friends. (White) can catch it, he's a good blocker, He's a slasher as a runner..

"Tom is going to like him. He can catch the football,'' Edwards said of White. "Tell Tom he got my guy.''

That first pick tomorrow needs to be Tariq Woolen would be a home run pick he can develop behind Dean and take over next year and provide depth this year

Very STRANGE that the Pat's and Bucs both passed on Devin Lloyd to eventual replace Hightower and David. Bucs also has no depth at LB.
I'm worried about the Pats line backing

Bucs take tight end Cade Otton from Washington at 106. Had him in for a 30 visit, fills another obvious need.

Cade Otton is 6-5, 247, modest production at Washington -- 91 catches for 1,026 and nine touchdowns in four years there. @dpbrugler writes that he is "a catch-point finisher, nuanced route-runner, and he takes his blocking responsibilities seriously."

A punter? Lol what
Yeah I thought a DB like Woolen would have been a much better pick.

The Bucs have a high powered offense, great punting isn't as important IMO

A punter? Lol what
They must want to get rid of Pinion's 3 million cap hit. His contract has no dead money so I think they free up a little more that 2 million (taking into account the low number for a rookie punter) and maybe can put that towards resigning Gronk or Suh.
