I mean he could be a good long term solution. Just because the ESPN mediates had him ranked lower does not mean that he will suck. He can play both guard and center and fixing the line is very important with mason gone and andrews getting long in the tooth. I do think they should have tried to trade up for Penning or David

Rebuilding this team will mean prioritizing the lines

So the Pats created a self inflicted hole on the O Line as noted above and the tried to fill it by taking a huge reach in the first round. Ok . . . Great one

Not just ESPN. BCG here had him as a 3rd rounder. Obviously we hope he works out and appears to be a decent enough prospect, but over Dean? Over Hill? Over Travis Jones? Point is, we think they could have picked one of those guys and he would still be waiting for them in the 2nd if they wanted.
