@BaconGrundleCandy - What do you think the likelihood is that Leo Chanal falls into the second round or further?

He'll go 25-45 imo. I can't see him falling into the 3rd at all. Top 3-5 LB on most boards and Dean & Lloyd will be gone RD1 so the need will be there.

Ok.. That's what I was thinking as well. I happen to see someone who did a Live 7 rd mock w/trades and Leo Chanal fell to him as the Pats GM in the 3rd round. He did pull some trades.. Trading back and taking Woolen in the 1st. Got Jones in the 2nd. He also got Melton and Phillips in the 4th..

Someone you could snag in round 6-7. Underrated prospect that flew under the radar until his pro day.

Watched him for years. Really nice player.

Raw as hell. Lots of potential in coverage. Like McFadden he's a natural dropping deep in a T2 style. Taking away flat, Anderson can time up a blitz well. His instincts and technique concerns though. He's very inconsistent but his flashes are real, looks like he good be an NFL player but his technique in the run game is so-so. He's moved out of his gaps by bad eyes in the backfield. He's got a ton of motor and want to though. He'll gladly play ST and get in where he fits in. Not sure he's a fit here. We a little bit of a project in McGrone already. We need someone that can really contribute meaningful snaps very soon.
I was looking up 100m times for CBs, and then noticed that Troy Andersen ran a 10.88m in HS - that's as fast as the top CBs in this class (except the freak Barnes)! Holy crap he officially has my attention. Sounds like an Edelman pick - "where are we gonna put this guy?"

Yea he's a freak. Movements, motor & passion are there. I have a 3rd on him. Raw as hell but he'll gladly get in where he fits in. I try to stay strict with my grades but I'm flexible. I just think you better be very sure of you're staff if you're taking him top 64. They need to be experienced and have worked to show for themselves. Which we do thankfully. Mayo, Covington are great. He needs to be making real contributions this year and impact next if you're taking him there. He's a lot of peoples binky.

I know it's not the position of greatest need, but I'm seeing some mocks with Devin Lloyd available into the 20s. I would be thrilled to see him in a Patriots uniform

This post is totally random while I'm counting down the minutes: I like that James Houston is on the list on BCG's OP. Was looking at Bruschi's history as a sack fiend in college, so I went through sack leaders today in the FBS and FCS to see who could be a diamond in the rough and ran into "The Problem" (his nickname) with his 16.5 sacks this past year. Hopefully this guy gets a shot somewhere prob as a UDFA. Played for head coach Prime Time Deion Sanders who switched him from LB to DE, so I'm sure he'll get a good rec. He might just be too much of a 'tweener for anyone.

Nice looking pass rusher, James Houston. A bit undersized for a BB defender - a quick google search has him listed at 6'1, 225 lbs. Don't know if BB is going to buck the trend of wanting those big lumbering 6'4 250/260 lb linebackers. If he does, that will signal a shift in defensive philosophy to deal with modern NFL offenses. But I'll believe it when i see it.

Pro day has him shorter (6') and bigger (244lbs). I keep forgetting this is a PTP thread (and I finally figured out what PTP means after staring at the abbrev for a year), and I posted this knowing he's so far from a PTP, so my post was in the wrong spot.

Give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back, JB... Houston was 2ND among ALL rookies in sacks, behind only his teammate in Detroit Aiden Hutchinson... Very impressive for a dude barely 6'1/245.
