Deebo wants out of SF

Oh, don't give me your thinly-veiled nonsense.

"Unlike most, I can impartially analyze how the Patriots behave historically and use that to make rational projections about future transactions."

That is a personal attack.
You call that a personal attack?

You need to toughen up, little snowflake.

But wait, you're the one whining about me being an arsehole...

I'd love to see Deebo in a Pats uniform. He would make the offense electric. He might be the missing piece, sadly I don't think it will happen.

If a trade were to happen, Deebo might be worth some draft capital, which the 9ers need, a second or third this year and a first next.

That’s what I would be okay with. Give up the first this year, give up a 2nd next year. That’s the highest I’d be good with. Everyone wants immediate impact players, not gonna do much better this draft than Deebo. Extend him when he gets to Gillette. Keep his salary low this year. Maybe they can find a way to throw Jonnu or Harris in the mix to lower the required draft capital. Would obviously hate to see Harris go, but last year of deal, how are negotiations going? Only starter receiver on payroll for next year is Bourne, right?

Reality is it’s not going to happen. But boy is it fun to talk about!!

Can we throw in N'Keal Harry as part of the deal ? He was a 1st round draft choice. What?
Sure. Niners will take Harry plus a first. Or a second without Harry.

If all it takes is a 1st and a 2nd (like the Davante Adams deal), then I would do it but not sure about the cap space. Maybe trade Agholor or Smith?

That isn't whining, it is mere pointing out fact, little snowflake.
Oh of course, I forgot that you are of superior intellect, even beyond Fisherchick.

Bourne and Parker.

The only way to keep his salary low this year would be to give him a huge signing bonus, but even then there is only so much you can do.

I don't blame Deebo for trying to strike while the iron is hot, but he just doesn't have much leverage.

2019 49ers weren't that far off from winning it all using that formula.

They had Kittle, Deebo, and Sanders, who are a lot better than what the Pats had during the early dynasty years.

Looks a lot like his agent is going for the golden ring with him, Metcalf, and Brown.

Could backfire big time.

These days you absolutely need stud receivers to win a super bowl. The formula that Bill used to win from 2001-2004 (strong defense, strong running game, above avg. QB play) won't work anymore.
Who were the stud WRs when the Patriots were winning Super Bowls 49, 51 & 53?

If this is the bar that you're going to be judging all future patriot quarterbacks on, you should probably stop being a patriot fan, because the rest of your life is going to be nothing but disappointment. The amount of stuff that had to go right for the patriots run with brady is so god damned ****ing ridiculous, and its NEVER going to happen in the NFL again. period, end of sentence.
I'm not expecting anyone to live up to Brady's standards. I was responding to someone saying Brady was a "game manager" for the first 6-7 years of his career. Right now I'm just looking for the Patriots to be competitive with Buffalo... however that's accomplished is fine with me... doesn't have to include all-time elite quarterback play.

Mac will never be Brady and that's fine because nobody else will either.

Josh Allen wasn't JOSH ALLEN until he got Diggs. If there's a chance getting Deebo has the same impact on Mac then let's get him
Again, I'm not expecting Mac Jones to be Tom Brady. I'm not expecting him to be Josh Allen either, which is just as unrealistic. Allen is immensely talented, more so than most quarterbacks, so while Diggs certainly accelerated his growth, he was probably going to be this great eventually. I agree though, adding Samuel to our offense would be a huge boost for the entire unit.

I’m not so sure about that. The Niners current situation is quite a bit of leverage. They gave up an asinine amount of draft capital to draft Lance that I am sure they wouldn’t mind recouping a bit of (especially in a so-called WR rich draft), and they’ve gotta figure out a way to sign Bosa, and Samuel. The last 2 will be pretty easy once they get rid of JG, but not if Samuel absolutely refuses. If Niners wanna play the sitting game with him and call his bluff, they’ll just watch his value drop. If there’s no future there, right now would be there best time to strike.

Gronk and Edelman were far better than the receivers the Pats had from 2001-2004. I'm counting Gronk obviously as a "receiver."

Deion Branch won a Super Bowl MVP and put up numbers very close to Deebo in 2003, so did Givens in 2004, and Troy Brown was a 1200 yard receiver in 2001 and that's nothing to sneeze at. No Fauria isn't Kittle but they still really were a similar offense in a lot of ways.
