Exactly this. They played to each QB's strengths in the red zone. If it wasn't a RB run, they would try to scheme it using Cam's legs, and conversely with Mac's arm. Trying it the other way around wouldn't have made sense. Not to try to pump up Cam in any way, he was pretty bad, and the fact they used schemed QB runs so often down there was less a testament to his legs and more a damning of his arm.

Yes they were... So bad in fact that Bill should've done what was best for the Future of the T-E-A-M and traded Gilmore, Mason & others at the deadline... Might've received just a bit more than 6th- & 5th-round picks for them too; but Halas & especially Shula beckoned, so...

Mac looks like he's cleaned up his diet and got leaner.

Small 'news scoops' through the offseason has highlighted that he is cleaning his diet up and working with Tom House on throwing. Mechanics.

Doesn't nessecarily mean he lost functional mass..could have just lost a bit of that pudge which probably improves his play.

BB did not let Nick Caley go to the Raiders because, I believe, Nick will be calling the plays in 2022. He has been around a long time and if BB picked him then there is a good chance he will be good. Unlike others, I like the change - our offense was very conservative and needs to involve the TEs more. Let's hope Nick can figure it all out - it is nice to have a new set of eyes looking at it, and the change will help Mac feel like he has more input.

Not really sure how much being a couple inches taller helps you keep from getting hurt if hit.
