Player Signing Report: Patriots Acquire DeVante Parker from Dolphins

I dig that; and the weird thing is, their record last season should've been Even Better, if they hadn't blown the Indy Clots and Both Miami games outta their collective azzes because of Just Plain Bad football... Still don't think their talent would've supported a 13-4 record into the POs however; but they had an opportunity to take advantage of more than a couple of scheduling breaks to host at least one PO game and maybe even win one too...

The weird thing is that the Captain, in a moment of weakness I assume, is discussing the Pats in a extremely positive and encouraging manner. Who kidnapped the real Captain Stone?

When healthy he’s a beast. So stay f’n healthy!!!! See a lot of upside and so ho hum with Parker. He has dominated at times and disappeared as well. Make the game plan happen and keep him heavily involved.
“Dominated at times and disappeared as well” Reminds me of Agholor….

Parker has a long injury history and has had multiple hamstring injuries

There is no shortage of injuries in Parker’s history. However, the hamstring injuries stand out prominently. According to draftsharks.com, Parker has had 15 documented injuries since entering the NFL in 2015. That is an average of more than two injuries per season since he was drafted. Of those 15 injuries, 7 are recorded as some sort of hamstring injury of varying severities.

Ugh

I rewatched quite a few games and Agholor was open allot last year, but Mac did not throw him the ball. Not at all implying Mac is not good, I would rather he stay within himself especially his rookie year. My issue with Agholor is his hands and because of that I will take Meyers.

And yet, Agholor had 1 drop on 64 targets in his 1st season with the Patriots. So, what about his "HANDS" is an issue?

Their record says that they are in the offseason, with a lot of players gone, and with teams in the conference getting better.

On PAPER, the 0-0 Jets and 0-0 Dolphins seem to have improved from 4-13 and 9-8 respectively. But REALITY is another animal entirely.

Also the fact that all the other WR's except him are working out with Mac in Florida is pretty telling the writing on the wall. Also
Kristian Wilkerson coming off the PS and making plays in real games show how far Harry have fallen.
Wilkerson isn't in FL. It was Bourne, Meyers, Agholor, JJ Tayloer and Parker. Why aren't you raging about Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, James White, Harris, Stevenson, Nixon and Montgomery not being there. They all need to be working with Jones as well if Bourne and Meyers are..

BTW, let's be real. Wilkerson had ONE good game against a crappy Jacksonville team. Despite being promoted for Miami, he was inactive and Bill didn't even bother promoting Wilkerson for the playoff game. Both Harry and Agholor missed the Jax game. Not sure how Wilkerson's showing has any relation to it.

Parker has played in at least 10 games in ALL of his six years. He may be out for part of the season, as he usually is. That is one of the reasons that we are likely to carry five WR.

If everyone is always healthy, even four may be too many. There just aren't enough even targets for Parker, Agholor, Bourne, Myers, Henry, Smith, a rookie, and White. Most here want a rookie WR to make the 53 from the first four rounds. Some even want to use a 1st or 2nd. If Parker plays for his usual 10+ games, he will be a major upgrade over Harry, who he replaces on the roster and in the receiving corps.

To answer your questions we got very lucky with Bourne last FA. Meyers was playing out of position he's neither a one or a two he's a border line 3. I think Agholor could do much better in year two. Parker is better than all of them I mean current Patriot receivers. On Parker great Trade he's a guy who can produce as the numbers show. That said I think Robinson is slightly better than him. But the Patriots got good value in that Trade.
Is it possible that the Pat's GM had something to do with "getting lucky with Bourne?" Asking for a friend

Even a stopped watch is right twice a day.

sigh

Perhaps we should take a poll. What percentage do you think are disappointed with the jobs of the GM and the rest of the staff in drafting in 2021?

They must be waiting for some team to agree to pony up a 6th round draft pick for Harry, otherwise they could have just cut Harry today to get under the cap
I'm wondering why he's still on the salary cap, too. In what universe does N'Keal Harry have any trade value? They must see something in him worth trying to develop. He's physically impressive at training camp, I'll say that. It would be great if he develops something positive and consistent, but we haven't seen it yet.

So they were a legit 10-0 team in days they won and a legit 0-8 team in days they lost.

I don't know how this discussion of interpreting the 2021-22 record got started, but for me, the silver lining from the Bills 47-17 wild card game was that the Patriots' special teams didn't muff any punts. So we got that going for us.

Coach cap: who do you like that's still out there on the market?

At WR? I think they're done until at least after the draft because of their lousy salary cap situation, but I would have the names of Jarvis Landry, Cole Beasley & Sammy Watkins at the top of the rolodex, and would also keep an eye on OBJ's rehab...
