Mac working out with receivers in Tampa

I’m sorry, but the more I think about it, Parker, with Agholor on the outsides has me excited. Throw in smart, shifty guys like Bourne and Myers and you’ve got yourself a pretty damn good group. THEN throw in Henry, and hopefully an ascending Rham and your passing game is going to be pretty damn legit. If Jonnu can somehow manage to catch on? Money! Speaking of money, with the trade for Parker, the Pats have shown they’ll find a way to make it work if needed when the moment comes. We’re gonna be fine on that side of the ball if the offense doesn’t regress due to Mac and the new OC.
Look, I like your post but there's no mention of the OL. Both tackles are injury prone, last year's guards are gone and there's little depth. I've got Owenu slotted in as RG but that's it. We've got along way to go to TC with the draft and all but there's a lot of work to be done.

I saw a comment on Twitter that said Agholor is a Tampa native and this field is by where he went to high school, and Agholor filmed it, so it sounds like Agholor is likely the one who set this up. Interesting since so many of us have discussed him as a potential trade candidate. Seems he feels he is comfortable.
How can they trade Agholor with a dead cap hit of $10 mil?

I’m not too worried about the OL. I know I should be, with as you mention Wynn and Brown, but there’s going to be some additions in the draft/udfa and the draft. As we get deeper into the offseason I’ll start worrying about that group if it appears to not be coming together. I get it though. I’m not a huge Wynn fan at this point in time. If it’s not injuries with him, you’ve gotta worry about all the mental hiccups he started having. Sucks too, because there’s so much talent there with him. I hope this year he can find a way to bring it all together and get a second contract. I wouldn’t be opposed to them going OL with their first pick either, and sure as hell wouldn’t be surprised. You have a very realistic observation though. But hey! If the passing game can get in rhythm out of the gates, it should make the OL’s job easier, right? ;)

If he's traded, he only has a dead cap of $5 million. It would result in $10 million cap savings.

The dead cap is the amount that would remain with the team's cap should the player be traded or released.

No, that's only if he's released. The dead cap is different (lower) if he's traded.

I'm torn on the draft. If Zion is there at 21 I'd like to see us take him. An immediate starter in my opinion but trade back for more picks is also something I would like to see. I think I'd have to go with taking Zion.

Agholor better give us at least 700yds in 2022 and no less at that cap number we obviously didn't use him right last year.

I'm going to eat crow if Isaiah Wynn plays up to his draft status or potential but we know how he loves to underwhelm. That said we have other Needs though I like Zion also but I feel the pick would be well serve at another position. I'm not apposed to a Tackle or Guard in the Third or Fourth rounds.

Jesus if Mac brings in some kind of life coach failure/loser like AG into his inner-circle i'll blow a gasket.

The only other enchanting, influencing, parasitic presence in history that can be compared to Brady/AG is the Romanovs/Rasputin
It was Willie McGinest that introduced Guerrero to Brady. He's a body coach not a life coach. It's worked out pretty good for Tom, given he had an MVP level performance at age 44.

Just look at all the injuries and games missed by younger QBs like Dak, Baker, Tua, Murray, Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson, DJones, Wilson, Fields, Winston, Carr, Jimmy, etc.

...and I will scorn the day.
I will be right there with you.
Pretty sure Brady met him in 2006...
Splitting hairs a little bit. Brady at that time had three rings and was at the top of his profession. While the debate as to his standing in comparison to the all-time greats was still on going, he had certainly climbed the mountain by '06.

I don't think it's a direct correlation of Gurerrero = Longevity. Genetics, pocket awareness, 3 step drops, quick release, coaching and offensive line have a lot to do with it.

I don’t care what Agholor contributes, I care what the offense does.
I’m perfectly fine with whoever catches the passes if the offense is good. We aren’t any better if the guy who makes more money catches passes instead of the guy who makes less.

People also don't pay attention to how good Brady is at taking a sack. And I don't mean from a toughness perspective, I mean that he is very aware of how to fall, spread the force of a hit, etc.

There are literal classes on how to fall as an actor because that is one of the biggest steps you can take in preventing injury. Might be the biggest. But also to your point, offensive line is huge because you can't prep for a blindside sack.

Maybe. Who knows. But Tom attributes it to Guerrero (longevity).
