The Pats SHOULD go CB/guard/DT with pick #21. I'd be shocked if Bill drafts a WR in round 1 now.

Wow I can't believe this one for several reasons:

- It's an intra-division trade
- The trade compensation seems exceptionally low for a cheap contract (relative to the position) with 2 years left
- Parker seems like a perfect fit for a QB like Mac who throws an accurate ball

Super pleased with it. Perhaps Agholor is moved to create space but I personally hope they keep him another year. It's only $5M saved to release him, so unless you get a good trade return to also gain $10M in cap space via trade, he's worth the money to keep as your deep option.

I still think they should draft at least one WR too. Interestingly the Pats still don't have any of their starting WRs signed past 2023 even with this move.

I think this year it becomes a mid round need.

I think it’ll be high priority in next years draft though due to the reason you just mentioned.

This move means Agholor is definitely getting traded, cut or forced to take a pay cut.

If you have experience with this franchise, they typically go into a season overstocked at certain positions (like WR and RB). Injuries, inability to grasp the playbook, just a bad fit, etc always rears its head into and through camp. Could Agholor get traded? Sure. Will he? An unknown, but I wouldnt personally put money on it.

Their needs on defense are so great and ot will be afyer wynn leaves next year (or is injured this year), i can't see them drafting a wr high.

Me too after this Trade: WR is a Deep position especially in the First Three Rounds. I know some decent WR's are going to fall for whatever reason.

The more I think about this trade. The more I don't like it. They gave up too much for a player that's constantly injured. I think pats fans are so desperate for a wide out. And the lack of free agent moves have people overly excited about this move.

If they didn’t get a 5 this year, I would agree, but they did. You realize that a 3rd in 2023 is not valued by teams like a 3rd in 2022, right? It is closer to a 4th this year. So think of it like this:

Parker and a 2022 5th
for
a 2022 4th

I think BB realize his luck or lack their of with Rookie WR's. It wouldn't be prudent of him to put all his eggs in the Draft a couple of WR's basket.
