OT: Tyreek Hill to Miami

Haha...I AM the type of person to question big contracts, but Hill could be torching us twice a year.

Cap doesn’t matter I let y’all fool me a couple years ago into thinking the Rams had no choice but to trade Kupp. 2-3 years later he signs an extension and they still pay Donald, Ramsey and Stafford I don’t know why y’all fall for the cap talk

Honestly I'm liking this trade.

Bottom line is Hill wants Adams money. Hill isn't as good.

You stock up on D and historically we have done well without him in the lineup.

Weeks, not months. The plan to get Brady and Payton was started like two months ago.

Brady was retired for 40 days. The timing matches up way better than what you're alluding to.

I'm guessing Tyreek wanted to set the new record contract for WRs and the Chiefs have a lot of money tied up already in a few contracts. Can't have highest paid at every position. Here they got an entire draft class for the guy. That'll get them some cheap labor, which they absolutely need due to the top heavy cap-onomics.
Yep.

I think they are realizing the D sucks and having Hill hasn't made us look unbeatable.

Maybe Mahomes will take what's given to him and stop going for bombs all the time to Hill.

Should be able to land some good players here.

First 16 games ...

Mac - 67.7%, 22/13, 3801, 92 rating, 0 rushing TD

Tua - 66.2%, 23/11, 3746, 91 rating, 6 rushing TD

Perhaps the biggest signing going unnoticed is Armstead though. I wouldn't have paid Gesicki but they now have some incredible team speed.

I’m gonna locate my popcorn for the responses to this

Brady came back what two weeks ago now. That is about two months.

This is make or break time for Tua imo.

Either you show significant progress or the Dolphins have a new QB in 2023.

Yeah, I bought only 7 years ago...I get hit pretty hard, particularly after the SALT cap in the last tax bill.

But again, I travel all over the country and love the diversity of regions. I choose to be here because I love this area. Only place I'd take above it in the US is Hawaii - and that's too far with the grandkids.

Yeah, I would never live anywhere else...not even Hawaii although the waves there are super nice....

Were the Patriots in on this trade? Honestly Hill would make life much easier for Jones.

Yes I realize he's got issues.

But still...

Multiple high picks and 72m bucks. I bet they were...

Ok.

Honest question.

If Jones is good to great the next two years, are they going to pay him 50 million per year? That's what it'll take.

The market has gone up on every position.

Idk.

Yup.

Watson & Hill deals make me sick as a human being. Both are scum.

Question: Does not having Hill anymore make us not as hated? Kelce is a bit out there. But he's not scum.
To answer your last question - personally, for me, yeah. At least a little bit. Mahomes used to annoy me, but I've come to respect his legitimate talent a lot more than I did. Honestly the main thing that still grates me about KC right now is Patrick's wife and brother and not really anyone on the actual team lol.

Yeah the wife is annoying. Brother is just an idiot.

Hill is despised here. Pats fans look forward to seeing his career come to a painfully violent end.

IMO Bill will draft someone else before he pays a QB a top-of-the-market deal. I think he would hope to replicate the Brady days where Tom would sign a top 10-ish deal that's backloaded and open to being perpetually extended or restructured as necessary annually. But that's also probably a question for 3 years from now at the earliest and it's hard to say if Bill will still be doing his thing by that time. I'd guess yes though.

I don't think they'd pay that player that money with that much trade compensation.

BB probably about to pick an undrafted wide receiver to put bandages on the offensive side of the ball like he always does lol.

I won't be surprised if the Chiefs sign Antonio Brown. They're the only team that makes sense. Maybe Cleveland.

AFC East is pretty damn interesting now. If Tua improves that's a legit offense.
