OT: Tyreek Hill to Miami

Pats will definitely be 3rd in the division.

Miami beat us 3 times in a row.

Now, they have a scheme and personnel that actually fits Tua's skillset. And they bolstered their line.

Coming off 2 straight winning seasons.
Can I get the winning lottery numbers while you're at it?

Just went to chiefs planet... the site is back up, but is really unstable... it put firefox into a website not responding mode... they must be on meltdown status over there...
They're delusional.

Alot of them think they are better off

Tua is definitely not mahomes, but Hill just gets wide open. Tua will still have success with Waddle and Hill.

With our secondary, as it stands, that receiver corps is pretty scary.
If Miami had landed Watson, then the Dolphins would give the Bills all they could handle

To me, Tua is 3rd QB in the division and Im luke warm on Mac.

Keep in mind that Miami probably would't trade for Hill if they got Watson. They'd be decent nonetheless.

And our property taxes are grandfathered in..... I pay about 5K in property taxes a year on a house currently valued at 1M+...and always will for as long as I live in this house.
Yeah, I bought only 7 years ago...I get hit pretty hard, particularly after the SALT cap in the last tax bill.

But again, I travel all over the country and love the diversity of regions. I choose to be here because I love this area. Only place I'd take above it in the US is Hawaii - and that's too far with the grandkids.

Poor Jets....hahaha. No matter how bad the offseason is going...at least we aren't Jets fans

Tua indeed sucks, but Hill will make him look good. He'll be wide open deep, or get major yards after catch.
What happens when Hill is doubled like in KC? Is Tua going to make the correct read?

Hills career took off with Mahomes.

I have to say as well that part of KC's success comes from the scheming of Andy Reid. He knows how to get WRs open. Hill is the most dangerous WR in the league, and being with Reid and Mahomes was perfect for all three.

Hill will mesh well with Tua, who is accurate on slants. The deep throws to Hill will be less available. The middle-of-the-field combo of Hill and Gesicki, on routes that Tua throws well, will be a problem. Plus they have beefed up their O-line.

First 16 games ...

Mac - 67.7%, 22/13, 3801, 92 rating, 0 rushing TD

Tua - 66.2%, 23/11, 3746, 91 rating, 6 rushing TD

Perhaps the biggest signing going unnoticed is Armstead though. I wouldn't have paid Gesicki but they now have some incredible team speed.

I think its a great trade for KC. With that extra first rounder they can afford to grab jameson a little bit early and wait a year for someone who MIGHT be an upgrade over Hill, or a bigger Hill. At any rate with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, there will be a lot of quality WR prospects to choose from.
Jameson Williams likely will not be available where they are picking unless they want to packs picks to move up.

Me right now.

Tyreek twice a season?
No worries
Bill had this move covered a week before the trade even happened
Clearly the Dolphins are now countering BB's epic Mitchell swoop

(Mitchell allowed a 62.9 catch rate and a passer rating of 104.7)

They are.

Hill is 28 and has been extremely lucky avoiding injuries. Plus, he is a selfish pain in the *** publicity whore. No team player wants to break the teams salary cap for years to come.

I just turned on the radio to hear them go on and on about how Miami spent way, way too much for Hill and then bashed the Patriots for not even trying to get Hill. Talk about just trying to create controversy for the radio. That is just lay radio controversy.

I’ll say this. They’re not better off, but they did set themselves up nicely to reform their roster. I expect them to try to rely on Mahomes less and create a more balanced team. Chiefs drafted well in recent years.

I always admired how the Pats were very frugal while scheming championship teams. Now it seems we have no plan, let guys go without compensation, wait too long to do anything when guys are available. What happened?

Hills career took off with Mahomes.
Hill put up solid numbers in his 2nd year (with Alex Smith) in 2017. He had 75 receptions, 7 TDs, 1.1K yards. That season, he had the 2nd best yards per reception of his career. Obviously having a better QB in Mahomes for the following years helped, but Mahomes arrived to an already great WR.

Jameson Williams likely will not be available where they are picking unless they want to packs picks to move up.
Do you really think that a team will be willing to use a high to mid-round pick in the FIRST, for a guy who had only one year of big production, under ideal conditions at Alabama, coming off a serious knee injury AND who will likely not be available until 2023. On paper, he's a great looking prospect and would clearly be one of the top WR picked in the draft IF he were healthy. But he's not. And for that reason, I don't see him being picked until very late in the first or at the top of the 2nd. There are a lot ot team with several picks in that area who can afford to wait a year.

With 2023 being the year I think the Pats are looking to compete for a championship, the Pats Might be willing to take a shot at Williams, but only after a trade down to bottom of the round or top of the 2nd. But those are just MY thoughts. Who knows what will actually happen
