Ugh should Of never chose Berrios over him.
He never progressed as a WR. He had a great 2020 returning kicks but he always made me nervous because he seemed like he had no plan and would run through a brick wall. And his ball security wasn’t the best. Was more average as a PR in 2021 and still had ball security issues. I can see why BB let him go although I’m still curious to see if he would have ever developed more.

Winston wasn't horrible in N'Orleans. Not a guy you want to build your franchise around, but a stop gap for a year. But that was with the last regime. Not sure if this one can get the same production out of him.
That’s the thing. Sean Payton isn’t there anymore and he was one of the best, one of the few guys i’d be happy with if we didn’t have Belichick. Will the new coach get the same performance out of Winston?

Hard to see how he's gonna develop much as a WR with Truebustky at QB.

It's sad that Gunner is gone to Pitt. People claiming that he "hasn't progressed as a receiver" forget that Edelman took 5 years to get on the field as a receiver regularly.

And Ty Montgomery is no consolation prize. He's not even a "Poor man's " Bolden. I'll be surprised if he even makes the team.

Montgomery isn’t a punt returner. Different positions altogether.

And for your first point, for every Edelman that took 5 years to develop, there are a dozen Matthew Slaters that never did at WR. If BB wanted to, he could have very easily matched that contract, it’s very cheap. Tells me he thinks he’s more likely to go down the Slater route than Edelman. He could be wrong.

JimmyG isn't smelling a deal like that.
Well.. no obviously not... he's missing the part where we said he's "pretty damn good" and also "elevates his team"

Helps to actually read what it stated instead of making it up as you go along.

I said Montgomery wasn't even a "Poor Man's Bolden." Not sure how you equate that to Gunner.
Yes, BB could have matched that IF he was given the chance to. If Gunner decided that the Pats had given up on him,. then why would he even bother to give them that option. We'll never know.

Seeing this Free agency has made my hate for Nelson Agholar grow.
I didn’t understand the signing last year.
He was a internet sensation meme for the guy in Philly catching babies thrown to him during a fire.
Dude said something like thank God Nelson Agholar wasn’t down here catching kids from the window.

Then we go had a good year in Las Vegas let’s empty the bag for him.
Bro.
Then Josh and Ziegler grab Adams.
Lol I have to laugh to stop from crying.
Not really but bro
It’s wild.
There's only a difference of a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder, and a bazillion dollars.

But then on talent get worse the following year makes no sense. Right now OL which was a strength was just made a huge weakness by Bill. All to get a 5th round pick
No. The O-Line wasn't a strength last year. It was SUPPOSED to be a strength, but it wasn't. It was inconsistent. And that was partially due to the last minute termination of Popovich because of the NFL's ridiculous F'in Vaccine policy. But I'm not going to get into the politics of that.

Someone give me a list of free agents who prefer the cold and being yelled at for less money and maybe even screwed out of their contract somehow.

I will start calling these players and recruiting with Judon.
I think we should all start hitting up available free agents on insta and Twitta.
Come on who’s joining me?
It is pretty warm today here in Buffalo. Free agents love it. Come visit Buffalo right now. A good place to play if you're looking for warm weather and big contracts.

As I'm looking at all the free agents, I can only see that we missed out on Allen Robinson and Foley Fatukasi.

Looking around, I really don't see anyone else we would have gone after at their money.

Anyone else?

You weren’t exactly clear on the Montgomery comment. After rereading it based on your response, I see you were trying to say he’s not a punt returner. My bad.

The Pats could have given Gunner the right of first refusal tender, which was $2.433m. Only 300k more than this deal. They chose not to. you’re right that maybe Gunner thought the Pats gave up on him, or maybe they did try to match and Gunner said no. I’m just saying that the dollar amounts aren’t too different, and if they wanted to they at least could have had the option.

Anyway, we’ll see if any stories come out on this in the future. I’m very curious to see what the team thought.

Watson needs to tell his attorney to start settling cases post haste.

Thin them down to a handful.

Imagine Mayfield going to the Colts, and then having the Colts making the playoffs while the Browns miss out.
Certainly would be amusing, and also possible if Watson does serve time under suspension. Cleveland’s roster is pretty good though, and we know Watson’s played very well at QB in the past, so I don’t think I’d put any money on that.
