NFL Free Agency 2022 edition

I think he is wrong. Over the Cap have them less than a million dollars under and Sportrac have them a little over $2 million under.
Probably thinks Watson is going there with his big contract. Otherwise not sure what the hell he’s spewing. Don’t drink and tweet Zo.

Edit: see above post

Von Miller after the Super Bowl win “let’s keep the band together and win another”
Von Miller after all of Denver’s moves: I’m coming back home!!
Von Miller after getting a 6 year 120 million offer from the Bills: I’ve always wanted to play in buffalo, best sports franchise ever!!
*Sing* money talks money talks dirty cash I want you dirty cash I need you more. :)

Too many drinks for a Wednesday
Come on Pats. Make at least one more move soon.

This ^ is what matters. Cap versus number of quality players signed, not cap alone.

If all your best players need to be signed in single offseason, that's not cap wealth. The money is already spoken for.
Sure but what's missing is talented players. I'm not sure what quality players means. Is that like serviceable players? Talented players are more important than team culture if you want to win it all, especially when you don't have a top 10 QB.

Our goal priorities used to be:

1. Win the Division.
2. Get HFA.
3. Get #1 seed.

Now we're struggling to achieve the top priority. Backing into the playoffs is fine I guess, but when the top teams are surrounding themselves with talent AND have top 10 QBs, it's going to be very difficult to be in contention. We have to stop living in the past. Those days are gone.

Your Von Miller post is funny as hell spat up my drink.

Licht is turning out to be a hell of a good GM.

Matthew Judon is not taking this free agency well on twitter. At all. It’s been growing sad the last couple days and now

A) Winning the division has always been the #1 goal.

A1) Even patriot fans who have joined after 2000 recognize that the important thing is to get to the 2nd season. After all, wildcards have won the Super Bowl.

Getting the HFA and even a bye is greatly overrated, They primarily fan goals. Much more important is the health of key players and momentum as the team enters the playoffs.
==========
I agree that the days are long gone when the AFCE belonged to the patriots and we automatically won. Personally, I'd rather be trying to get into the playoffs from the AFCE even now, especially when compared to the AFCW.

That run is over. Get used to it. That kind of run has never happened in the history of the NFL, and may never happen again. The patriots are a team that attempts to compete for the playoffs each year, and will continue to do so as long as the Kraft's own the team. Perhaps a new set of owners will consider a goal spending everything you can, including borrowing as much as possible from the future, all in service of an judgement that this is the way to win. This type of owner will focus on high priced shiny object, because, after all, his team will most often be a failure. The fans need some flashy player to root for. BTW, these teams will have lots of fan interest in March and April, and much less in December and January.

For the Pats fans crying about Brady being "annoying" and wanting attention, here's a Patriots player doing exactly that, non-stop for the last year.

Patriots don’t even have a team they can field right now.

Belichick has always been able to out couch mediocre personnel ability

Oh and he used to have Brady
