Player Signing Pats sign CB Terrance Mitchell

Over reacting is unilaterally decided on this board by whom?

How about under reacting routinely communicated on this board by BB worshippers?
These same claims of over reacting were expressed last season when some of us questioned the contracts to JonnuS, Agholor & Godchaux. How'd that turn out?

Of course, these guys can kick that claim down the road for ever: it's only their 1st season; wait until next offseason; wait until their 2nd season, etc etc etc.

Living under the shadows of Bill's resume is a waste of time since both the team and league have changed. In this league it's "what have you done for me lately."

Have you even looked at a mock draft? What are we doing? Reaching for 2nd rounders at #21? Because all the mock drafts I've seen have no OT going after the 5th pick.

I suppose you have us taking Faalele, Kinnard or Penning at the #21.

These guys are going in the 2nd round in many mocks.
I dont really do the mock drafts. When do the patriots draft who is expected?

im not overreacting, ok?

BUT WE TRADED SHAQ FOR THIS BUM? WE LET JC JACKSON WALK TO GET A PEDESTRIAN JOURNEYMAN OF A JAG? WHERE ARE THE REINFORCEMENTS BILL, WHAT R U THINKING? COME ON DUDE, GET A MOVE ON, PLS, WE ARE BEING LEFT BEHIND BY EVERYBODY!

So if you had to cut one or the other you would choose Mitchell over both Jonathan Jones and Jalen Mills? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you as far CB1 goes. We don't have one yet and Mitchell is probably not that guy.
Cousin, Perhaps James Bradberry of the Giants who is on the block. $13mm CAP is the problem. Agree to trade if you can restructure his contract.

That's cherrypicking. Folks also complained prematurely about the stuff that did eventually work out.

There's a drop off after the first 25 picks and it's pretty clear there's a very big drop off at CB after those 25, so if they don't take one in the first round, it will be slim pickins.

There are 3 guys slated to go in the 2nd round, Kyler Gordon, Roger McCreary and Jalen Pitre, but none of the 3 have tested like the top guys.

Sure. The point is this is a fan forum. That's what fans do in every single team forum. Complaining about fans complaining is more of a waste of time than the original complaints.

Ok we just need 1 CB, 2 LBs, 1 Edge, 1 DT, 1 G, 1 OT, and 1 WR with our 1st round pick. No problem, we got this.

Lots of linebackers, edge guys, WRs available in the later rounds.

Just an example at LB: Leo Chenal, Christian Harris, Brian Asamoah, Chad Muma, Troy Anderson, Brandon Smith, Darrian Beavers, Quay Walker, Channing Tindall, Damone Clark. All these guys are projected 2nd to 4th rounders. It's very deep in LBs.

Same is true of WR. Guys like George Pickens, Jahan Dotson, John Mechie, Justyn Ross, Skyy Moore and many others are not slated for the first round.

DEs is even deeper with Cameron Thomas, Enagbare, Ebiketie, Drake Jackson, etc. slated to go late.

CB is truly a different story. We need one of McDuffie, Booth, Gardner, Stingley, Elam, all projected 1st rounders, if we want to avoid the dreaded more questionable 2nd or 3rd round guys who are clearly a rung below.

Not questioning the names you are putting here, but if we are to expect anything immediate from guys we draft in the 3rd round and below, that's not very reassuring at all

But you bring up to questioning the contracts of the guys from last year, and in retrospect it looks like Belichick predicted the market perfectly.

People here complain about Agholor's contract, but it's a 2 year deal that ends this year, he's averaged 70+ receptions over the last 2 years, and if you look at a lot of guys who do NOT match his production, their signings have been through the roof.

It's not just one guy either. Not just Christian Kirk's ridiculousness, but Zay Jones landed a $30m/3 year deal with a lot guaranteed. Same story with Mike Williams, $60m/3 yrs with $40m guaranteed. Michael Gallup too. Some others.

In other words, Belichick saw this coming, as he should have, and so the criticism about money thrown at players last year was totally unwarranted.

I think Mitchell will compete with Wade to see if the once-high-valued OSU product can win a starting job. But like it or not, right now Mills is the #1 Corner. So, we either draft a 1st round stud to immediately lock it down, or we're suffering through a secondary we haven't seen since O'Neal, Hobbs, Wilhite & Wheatly. Thankfully Jon Jones will be back, and should bring some tenured reliability in the slot.

I mean, that's the draft so... what are we talking about again?

Mitchell is onto his 6th team since he entered the league in 2015. That's all I need to know.

I see this guy as strengthening the weakest link. Myles Bryant got positively abused by Josh Allen. This guy can presumably strengthen us there.

Yet you almost have a consensus on trading Agholor away, so there's that.

I don't see a consensus. I see people saying that if we trade Agholor away to use his money to sign Allen Robinson it's worth it. Otherwise, we trade him away and then do what? No other WR to replace him?

good clips

more zone coverage? i think I have to vomit! again bend and break D# all over with (yet) less talent on the team

I hope, for god's sake, BB hits a homerun with the draft

Camp fodder four pages yikes BB please throw us a real bone.
