they really don't know what they are looking at? they guess play call/coverage call/responsibilities.....there is SOME value in that they compare player to player, but without knowing specific calls they are just guessing

and they have obvious bias more often than not

According to PFF, Jack sucked at everything but pass rush last year.. And pass rush was mediocre. He put up zero sacks for the 2nd year in a row.

Jack had issues with the new coaching staff last year. They didn't mesh at all. Even after Meyer was gone.

Just because they "watch tape" doesn't mean they finally understand what they are seeing..

Jack's biggest issue was the coaching staff last year. It will be interesting to see where he goes and whether he returns to 2017 form or if he's done. (His PFF stats have trended down since 2017)

That's why I just use them for numbers.. They are pretty accurate in that.

I know there has always been a lot of hype around him. I’ve only ever watched him in games against us. Looking at his stats, he looks like he’s a cleanup/tackle machine. For someone as athletic as he is, he has hardly any sacks, or turnovers in his career. Interesting.

How in the world do you let something like that leak out? I don’t think very highly of Mayfield, but he knows he has no future there. Surprised he hasn’t forced a trade.

Part of it is how he was used. I honestly don't believe he's been tasked with rushing the passer all that much. They've had him in coverage. A lot of this is the techniques he was taught by the LB coaches at Jax to this point. The good thing is he's still young enough to learn. The question is whether or not he can stow his ego so that he can become a better player and take hard coaching like Mayo brings.
