OT: Rodgers stayed with GB in 2022 (old thread got necro’d)

Most top 10 lists that I've read include Manning in the top 3.

I'm surprised you can even read. DOn't think for a second I believe you graduated from college (besides clown college). You already admitted a while back you didn't.

I'll rely on Belichick who has faced Manning in many games over the years rather than some DF like you who is struggling through life. I already kicked your ass in the War thread and you just keep coming back.

What an embarrassing meltdown. You should get outside, get some sunlight on all that fat. Go fantasize about an alternative reality where you actually got some ass in your four years at UVA, virgin incel boy. All your sexual frustration is backing up out of your mouth like an exploding outhouse.

No meltdown from me. I'm just pointing out that people who are experts (not DFs like you) think that Manning is top 3, including a well-respected analyst like Elliot Harrison.

who is your #2 QB?

Another fact confirming Rodgers is an actual fraud. Combine these two tweets.

When playing against good teams (over .500) how often does a quarterback win the game when trailing at some point in the fourth quarter? (Comebacks to Loss record.)

Brady: 28-62 (.311)
Manning: 19-69 (.244)
Brees: 16-77 (.172)
Rodgers: 5-54 (.085)

This basically cannot be explained by anything other than preserving his precious little interception percentage and stat sheet at the expense of necessary risk taking to win games. Rodgers obviously should be able to win these games with his skills. Green Bay has nothing close to an outlier handicap on defense.

I posted something similar to this earlier this year, though it was just all games/comebacks, regardless of winning teams. Rodgers was below everyone, including guys like Alex Smith, Stafford, etc. Hmmm…Rodgers with some outlier stats that just so happen to align with the criticism.

McAfee is a Rodgers ball washer so he protects Aaron at all costs, but looks like the original leak was true. 150 m guaranteed for 3 years making him the highest paid player

You graduated from college and look how you turned out? I bet your parents are pissed

You should take Venecol’s advice and put me on ignore, because frankly, you get triggered too easily by me

Rodgers is a guy whose stats look great on paper. But then you watch the games and realize the stats don't quite match the eye test.

For instance, he consistently throws on the 1 yard line rather than hand it off. That is stad padding. He doesn't throw many picks. I'd argue that's because he doesn't take chances when he should. I've seen him take unnecessary sacks rather than throw the ball away. Which means his completion percentage doesn't get dinged.

Great player? Of course. HOF? Obviously 1st Ballot. Top 10 all time? Yep.

Top 5 all time? Nope. Not yet.

He's definitely not above Brady, Montana, Manning, Elway, and Unitas. Elway took garbage teams to the SB. He made those teams legit. He was the team.

Postseason trumps everything. He's the Chris Paul or Harden of the NFL.

If he was actually a football player with even half of Brady's competitive drive, he would easily be top 3.

Rodgers is a good front runner. Meaning if he has a sizeable lead he is deadly.

But unlike other great QB's, he isn't as good when a great comeback is needed. Or when a clutch play in a tied game in January is needed.

What makes Brady great is his ability to be near perfect when things look bleak. IE Baltimore in 2014, SB 49 & 51, Jacksonville AFC title game. Even the Philly SB. Eagles were up 12 and Brady was once again near perfect in the 4th quarter. With any other QB on the Patriots that day, Philly wins in a blowout.

Edit: Rams playoff game this year.

His new contract looks absolutely insane. He isn't concerned with winning and that's OK, he's within his rights to do what he's doing! He just needs to keep in a mind that he isn't going to be mentioned with the best. He will be quickly forgotten after he retires regardless of what the homers say now. He's a 'throw it behind the line to gain, no incompletions, lets win MVP with stats' *****.

The cap hit this year makes it manageable

Elway took garbage teams to the SB.
Elway's an all-time great for sure but he wasn't a good postseason quarterback and he was really bad in Super Bowls... In 5 SBs he completed only 50% of his passes, had only 3 passing TDs with 8 INTs, and a passer rating of 59.3. The two seasons Elway finally won SBs the Broncos had very good teams with a phenomenal RB. In 1997 and 1998 combined, Terrell Davis ran for 3758 yards and 36 TDs. In those two postseasons he surpassed 100 rushing yards in every game with an average of 149.8 per game and 5.5 per carry. He also had 11 rushing TDs in those 7 games.

Also, looking back at those Broncos teams that lost SBs, they don't look like garbage. The '87 team was top 10 offensively and defensively in scoring and yards. The '89 team had the top ranked defense in the NFL. Elway didn't play well in any of those earlier SB losses but he was especially bad in SB 22 & SB 24.

Ive been meaning to ask you - what do you think happened with Mahomes in the playoff game? Do you think there is a rift with the OC?

And don’t forget that the Donkeys cheated - not the fake news “cheated” by the Haters - in order to “win” those two SBs…

I believe Mahomes went unscripted and the plays you saw on the field weren't coaching calls.

I do think there's an issue. Because I think the OC feels undermined when guys consistently improvise.

Of course most times improvising works for Mahomes. So it's kind of tough to tell him not to do it.

The call at the end of the half was Mahomes telling the coaches to trust him. He needed to chuk it in the end zone. Either a TD. Or an in completion. But time for a FG. The play they ran was the worst possible outcome sans a pick six the other way.

The only thing Rodgers cares about is winning 2 more MVPs so he can pass Manning for the most ever.
