Might as well pay a bunch of money to give Lawrence people to throw to while you rebuild around him.
Personally I’d go the other way and build a running team with a good D to give him better situations to grow with.

They have $11 million in cap space, which is not a ton. Bill usually saves $5 million for rookies and emergency money, so that leaves around $6 million. Unless he ends up making more cuts or extends some contracts, you're not going to get much with that much money. It's basically enough for a mid-tier player.
