Roethlisberger didn't have charges brought because of Law Enforcement impropriety spoiling the case to prevent him from being charged.

Elliot was suspended because of the NFL's investigation. It had zero to do with the police one. Elliot was found to have LIED to the NFL about what had happened. Even though the DA said he didn't have enough evidence, the NFL found that Elliot had assaulted his accuser 3 times prior to the incident where the police were called. Elliot is also on tape as having pulled down the top of a woman during a St. Patrick's day parade. Elliot and his accuser had also taped several sessions of them having sex. This led the league to their determination that Elliot would be suspended for 6 games. Lets stop pretending like the situation is remotely similar.

While Watson still has the 22 Civil suits pending, it's unlikely they will go anywhere considering that the "criminal" charges came back with 9 "No Bills". The NFL will just be starting their investigation. Thinking that there will be a suspension this year is ridiculous since it took them over a year to get through Elliot's case. It's going to take much longer than that with this. Do you REALLY think the NFL is going to do an investigation while there are Civil cases pending? Do you really think the NFL would allow their employees to be potential witnesses? Let's stop kidding ourselves.

IF Watson is suspended, it won't be for at least another year, possibly 2. And I guarantee you that he and his lawyer will fight it based on the missed games already.

The league has no obligation to wait until the civil case is done. They can determine at any time they have enough evidence on their own to suspend. They may very well wait until the end of the civil case.

I bet you if the league starts to get heat about the Commanders sexual harassment stuff, Goodell may use Watson as the sacrificial lamb to show the league takes sexual harassment and assault allegations seriously.

And good luck trying to sue the NFL for time already served. The league has many times said they are not making any decisions of suspending Watson until they finish their investigation. As far as the NFL is concerned, no punishment has been served to Watson. A team suspension is not a league suspension. And since the team suspension was against the CBA and Watson didn't fight it, it probably hurts his position in fighting a league suspension.

I don't see trading Mason unless they have their targets set on someone really impactful with that money and the compensation for Mason is worth it

Bengals could need a RG but I don’t want to miss Mason , we need a stability in the offense line and mason is maybe the most reliable guy we have

If the Dolphins get Jackson, maybe the they will cut Howard. They have been rumored to have been trying to trade Howard for like a year now with no takers.

I hope we don't. Mason is one our most reliable and great player

Hmm him and Judon can be a great pair

I think I would rather pay Smith than JC Jackson. You have Judon and Smith rushing from the edges and Barmore up the middle, and I think you can have just an average at best secondary and still have a great defense. And we have seen that the way to shut down Josh Allen is to pressure him and force him to make stupid and quick throws from the pocket.

Please take the Watson/Elliot/etc conversation to it's appropriate thread. This is FA thread. One of the reasons I ask is because it will never stop between you two.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation

Crazy news coming on the FA front today. Buckle up.

I don't get why Rappaport is saying Gallup got a "HUGE" deal from Dallas. It's not THAT huge of a contract. Maybe he meant it was huge to have kept him.

I hope the Pats have at least one announcement today because it will likely be a significant one. Two or five would be better.

Za'Darius Smith would really improve us upfront we would really put fear into QB's I like.

He should fight this and show the NFL the Packers aren’t trying in good faith to sign him long term and force a tag removal.

Is that a real thing? I've never heard of anyone fighting a tag designation in good faith mode is why I ask.

Cut Jones, he was awful again this year.
