If the Chargers get JC Jackson they will be serious contenders in the west and AFC. Bosa - Mack now JC good Defense.

Hmmm, if the Saints land Watson the NFNS goes from looking horrid before today to having 2 possible SB contenders.

And Ryan is not that bad. Just needs a lot of help.

So free agency "starts" in about 14 hours. Teams will start to sign the big time free agents at noon tomorrow even though it won't be official until Wednesday at 4PM. It should be interesting if the Pats actually make any moves. If they are going after Allen Robinson as some have rumored, they will be getting deal done with him tomorrow (or at least announce it).

I just checked and Drew Rosenhaus isn't Robinson's agent, so it probably doesn't happen.

Is Tampa Gay going to be in the FA market being 3 million over the cap?

TB will be below by the time the season starts, as will every team

With Brady back, maybe Godwin signs an extension and frees up $12M. But yea, Licht is an expert at manipulating the cap.

That doesn't answer my question...FA starts on Wednesday and they are 3 million above the cap.

I don't know what transactions they will make. As we have, they probably have 5-20 possiblilities.

He hasn’t been officially suspended or suspended by the league. What the Texans did was against the CBA and Watson didn’t fight it because he didn’t want to play for the Texans. There is zero chance the league won’t suspend him especially with the current political climate.

Ben Roethlisberger was suspended for six games ( reduced to six) even though no charges were brought against him. And that was before the #meetoo movement.

I bet Watson gets a 6-8 game suspension. They may let him play until the civil suits are settled, but there is no way Goodell isn’t going to suspend Watson especially when he needs cover to protect one or two of his owners (Snyder and Ross unless he decides to make Ross an example) with Congress breathing down his neck.

Roethlisberger didn't have charges brought because of Law Enforcement impropriety spoiling the case to prevent him from being charged.

Elliot was suspended because of the NFL's investigation. It had zero to do with the police one. Elliot was found to have LIED to the NFL about what had happened. Even though the DA said he didn't have enough evidence, the NFL found that Elliot had assaulted his accuser 3 times prior to the incident where the police were called. Elliot is also on tape as having pulled down the top of a woman during a St. Patrick's day parade. Elliot and his accuser had also taped several sessions of them having sex. This led the league to their determination that Elliot would be suspended for 6 games. Lets stop pretending like the situation is remotely similar.

While Watson still has the 22 Civil suits pending, it's unlikely they will go anywhere considering that the "criminal" charges came back with 9 "No Bills". The NFL will just be starting their investigation. Thinking that there will be a suspension this year is ridiculous since it took them over a year to get through Elliot's case. It's going to take much longer than that with this. Do you REALLY think the NFL is going to do an investigation while there are Civil cases pending? Do you really think the NFL would allow their employees to be potential witnesses? Let's stop kidding ourselves.

IF Watson is suspended, it won't be for at least another year, possibly 2. And I guarantee you that he and his lawyer will fight it based on the missed games already.

I’ll be looking forward to the board’s reaction tomorrow when JC becomes close to the highest paid CB in football.

Would not shock me one bit if he exceeds Ramsey.

They don't have to be BELOW the cap until the end of Business on Tuesday. Looking at Tampa on OTC, I can see them freeing up the following money just with changing salary to Signing Bonus for the following players.

Mike Evans - 9M
Shaq Barrett - 10M
Donovan Smith - 9M
Lavonte David - 8.25M
Cameron Brate - 3.75M

That's $40M without touching Godwin or Brady.

Will they be BIG players in Free Agency? Probably not. They will have to replace Marpet, though I believe they have someone in house already. They could also look to Karras as a back-up since he's familiar with Brady.

I believe that TB has many of its own to deal with first. gronk is one of 20 free agents.

With $10M signing bonus.
