2022 Mock Drafts

The LB group are average is what I heard. I would skip LB this draft . This is possibly my fav . Wyatt is all down player so chose him over Davis and possibly the best late round pick . Gordon seems to fit pats mould. Mafe would be a nice edge rushing option to pair up with Judon .

And lastly double dip on wide receivers and even if one pans out we are golden.

Shocking English for a Scotsman....lol..... "I am not very good at trades....sorry

I haven't seen a ST draft thread or posts, so I thought I would just post this here....

Where do you think Araiza should be drafted? We save money if we move on from Bailey, and Araiza is the best P/K prospect in decades.

It may sound ridiculous, but is a 3rd too much to spend on a guy that can regularly flip field position like he does? Also a strong leg, with ok accuracy on FGs.

NEVER DRAFT SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEAMERS IN ANY ROUND...EVER!!!

I would be okay with this one as well.

Love the sailor pick. Kick him inside at left guard and what a beast he will become. Talk about a guy that can go toe to toe with Jordan Davis as far as power goes. Sailor is that guy.

Love the first 4 picks, though I would be looking for a Pass-Rusher with #85...

is Travis Jones your “got to get him” at this point? That’s kind of where I am and why I’m with you 100% on “The Way.” Given how he seemed to perform at the Senior Bowl and Combine, I’m now wondering whether he may be the first one to take if they move from 21 into the early 30s and pick up a late 2nd in the deal. If JCJ leaves the big hole at CB it would be a tough call to take Jones and not a CB with that first pick but if they did so I would hope they would not reach for a CB in the late second round at the expense of a lot better player ar ILB, DE, WR, or OL

Must admit I was quite excited about all of the performances in what looks like a decent draft. Surely we can strike gold with some of our picks.

Only problem is...............there are 31 other teams in the draft as well !

Mock 2.0 for me.

Not too many guys I'm sticking around for at #21. The approach here is to give the coaching staff (especially on defense) as many great athletes as possible to develop in order to try to find a couple game changers to replace our aging unit down the road. Offensively I prioritized pass catchers and OL but just didn't find much value on OL prospects early on. I think there is plenty of great prospects round 2-4 for the taking and have built it out this way. Now, saying all this we probably pick at #21 and prioritize completely different things because that's how it usually goes for me every year in regards to Pats draft.

Kyler Gordon - Think he fits the mold of what this team looks for in a corner. A program we've gone to before. Great athlete. I love KG.
Lewis Cine - I've come down on Cine a bit over the last month or so, but still think he's someone who this staff can develop. Worry about his size.
John Metchie III - Big fan favorite for Pats fans. Has worked with Mac. Keeps us away from a 1 Round WR again. Like his mental makeup/background quite a bit.
Boye Mafe - Think he's going to test really well. Gives us a project to work with down the road. Trust our staff as its currently built to develop a guy like this.
Christian Watson - Another WR here. Like the makeup. Like the ceiling.
Marcus Jones - ST and developmental slot guy. See how he runs. I think he fits our mold pretty well.
Luke Fortner - SEC center with tremendous leadership capability that will come in with a great mindset/hard work? Sign me up.
Jelani Woods - Developmental TE that is still learning the position. Take a flyer on a guy that could provide value down the road, especially as Big target.

if you could swap out a LB with Cine, that would be a great draft

actually wanted to trade down but than...Wilson was there so i couldn't pass

2nd one was even better in my view

btw I would love to keep JC and not focus on CBs in the early draft
.

I believe we might be forced to take a CB in first round as JC is not sticking with us.

So I decided to stick with our first rounder as elite talent is limited to top 30.
That's not how Belichick has operated in the past. e.g. 2019. The team had a glaring need at TE and a full CB room, and he still took 0 TEs while double dipping at CB.

I’d could live with this haul if we pick where we stand

Here's my latest attempt at a Mock Draft, they definitely didn't like me taking Araiza. I still think he might go off the boards earlier then people think unless they are going to change punting to something like the kickoffs. I feel so so about this draft though. I went for Asmoah instead of Watson at wr and missed him. I thought he would last one more round. Oh well.

My Fanspeak effort.

21: R1 P21 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia
54: R2 P22 LB Christian Harris - Alabama
85: R3 P21 LB Chad Muma - Wyoming
126: R4 P22 WR Calvin Austin III - Memphis
209: R6 P31 CB Zyon McCollum - Sam Houston State
