Theis can play defense. He is the #3 big man. The Celtics are all about Defense this year. Derrick White is for D too. The Celtics can barely score, but they will be a #1 Defense.

In the last few games Tatum has been passing out of the double teams and Smart has even had more assists than shots taken. Udoka has gotten to them to some extent. They will play D and struggle to score.

Brad traded 2 rotational guys and White has no experience in the system, so it will be interesting to see the rotation and minutes. They play Denver next so a big test.

Thankfully they picked up White who has a slightly lower 3pt FG% than Smart. The problem with Smart is that he'll have games like the last one (6-13 from 3) and then have that justify the bricking for the next 10.

If they lose to both the Nuggets and 76ers in these next few games, then it'll be like the Pats losing to the Colts and Bills at the end of the season. The win streak was a mirage and they were not contenders.

It's not danny and the brad. Its just brad. Danny isn't a part of the celtics anymore. And the theis trade is awful.

Anyone watch the Denver game? Liking White better than you thought you would? Still too rough around the edges, but the team is watchable once again.

Overcame 1-14 3pt FG% from the J's (with Smart/White doing well from there) and still won. White fit right in immediately.

Good teams know how to win ugly. Celtics have not done that in a long time - win ugly against a good team. White is good - love his energy and how he pushes the ball.

I saw the 4th quarter of the Nuggets game, which was more about them losing than the Cs winning... Their small-ball + Timelord lineup still sucks without a legit 4 playing significant minutes... Having all of Tatum, Brown, Smart & White on the floor at the same time fuc-king blows.

They don't f'ing blow. They are in 6th place now and beat the 76ers without Smart or Williams by 50 - that is not f'ing blows. White and Theis are good backups - better than Richardson and Schroder. Defense is legit. Maybe not going to the Finals, but they are watchable, pretty fun, and could make some noise in the playoffs.

I'll give them a mulligan losing to what was the worst team in the NBA (and now 2nd worst - they shot a lucky 53% from 3PT) who was on an 8 game losing streak with Celts having 2 starters out and a back to back. At least they did something different from the Pats (lost before the bye instead of winning straight through). They'll have that bitter taste in their mouth. Hope Smart heals up because as Perkins said, they need him like old people need soft shoes.
