If there is ANY chance it’s more than he said / she said re 100k per loss…. It would seem Miami has a problem. How can a team (and again, how are you going to prove this ?) actively admit to incentivizing losing ?
If Ross actually paid the $500K to Flores at the end of 2019 and Flores kept it in a separate account along with the paystub.

You also have the tampering issue and it was likely Brady. Why? Because Flores has a relationship with him AND Ross is the BIGGEST U-Michigan Donor on the planet, having donated nearly $500M to the school .

The Brady thing doesn't make sense. Doesn't Flores have his number? Watson makes more sense
*SMH*

No. The Watson take doesn't make more sense.

BRADY had a prior relationship with Flores since they were on the same team for 15 years. Also, Steven Ross is the single LARGEST Donor for the University of MICHIGAN. Brady going to Miami would be a huge coup for Ross.

What's more likely? That Ross would want Flores to talk to Brady, whom he has a prior relationship with? Or to talk to Watson who he doesn't know from a hole in the wall?

How do you come remotely close to getting that he's "Kaepernick II"? Unlike Kaepernick, Flores didn't void his contract. Ross voided it for him by firing him after Flores refused to break league rules. Pretty sure that firing someone for refusing to cheat is against the Code of Conduct that owners are supposed to follow. The other things is that if Flores received an extra $500K beyond what he was supposed to receive and put that money in an account and never touched it, then there is proof of Ross' duplicity.

The texts from BB to Flores show that the Giants weren't serious with their interview with Flores or Leslie Frazier. That they were just formalities to satisfy the "Rooney Rule". This supports what Flores says in his lawsuit.

The BIGGER reason that BB won't hire Flores is that it would bring into question Belichick's reliability as a witness.
Did you read the lawsuit? He talks about the 70% black players are on a slave plantation while the owners sit in their luxury boxes. I guess the 30% percent white players are not slaves though. The lawsuit is weak. Lots of hearsay. Elway may have been partying all night before his interview. BB heard rumors on the grapevine that Daboll was the man.Gruden sent politically incorrect emails in the past that had nothing to do with Flores. Ancient history lesson of the NFL.That doesn’t mean he won’t cash in though like Kaepernick.

I think Belichick has an unwritten code in which his coaches don't pilfer his staff after walking out the door...

I think that is what soured the Mangini situation...
Flores took Graham, O'Shea and Boyer with him.
Judge took Schulpinski and Bielema.
Patricia didn't take anyone but hired several former Patriots staff including Jeff Davidson and George Godsey
Bill O'Brien took George Godsey with him..

So, I don't see how this supports the idea that it is what soured the "Mangini situation"

You clearly don't understand lawyer hyperbole.
The lawsuit isn't as week as you claim. You'd know that if you had actually read it beyond just the hyperbole..

I don't think you realize how lawsuits work, either. They don't put all their evidence into the lawsuit. Just what they claim they are able to prove.

To claim that what BB heard was a "rumor" is just laughable. You make BB sound like a lemming who just wildly sends text messages whenever.

Took me way too long to make the connection that hiring a new OC is about to get really awkward. The Pats have to interview an outside minority candidate knowing that O’Brien is the clear favorite because he previously held that exact position.
Why is O'Brien the "clear favorite"? Other than McDaniels, how often has BB re-signed an a Coordinator to the same position on the team..

Wrong. Patrick Graham was an in house candidate and doesn't count under the Rooney Rule. Leslie Frazier's in person interview took place AFTER Flores' interview, which would mean that it was also a sham since the decision had already been made and people told about it.

How stupid is that

So why the hell didnt he want Brady ?

I think this happens. I mean, the Colts. Caldwell was the coach.

What possible reason did Caldwell have to start those players that year?

I mean, Curtis Painter was his QB. Why did he start him?

It's insane.
Painter was the only QB they had behind Manning.. After Manning went down, they re-signed Orlovsky who had been in camp. But it took until November 30th for Caldwell to bench Painter.

Who said Flores didn't want Brady? Flores didn't want to talk to Brady while he was still under contract with the Patriots. It's one thing for the Front Office Execs who do the contracts to "tamper" by reaching out to players via their agents, it's another thing entirely for the Coach to do it.

Maybe everybody isn’t uhh… on his tip like the bucs were. Maybe he wanted to run his team without that circus, having confidence that he could?

Till the deal is signed it does not exist. Ask the Colts and Josh McDaniels. The Giants don't legally owe Flores an interview or anything. The Rooney Rule is not a law and they met it with another coach anyway. Flores seems upset they used him to meet the Rooney rule. So what, he could have said no to the interview if he wanted. Again, people get interviewed all the time who are not hired. people are interviewed all the time after a previous interview candidate has already been identified as being a probable hire, people are interviewed by competitors all the time just so they can try and get competitive information. Flores has lost any goodwill I may have had towards the situation with this and complaining about the Broncos who came to Rhode Island to meet him.
May you should read the Rooney Rule before commenting anymore. Teams have to meet IN PERSON with TWO POC from Outside the organization. NOT ONE. So just meeting with Leslie Frazier doesn't count.

You probably should also freshen up on the EEOC rules while you're at it.

As was mentioned by someone else, you have to FINISH THE PROCESS before making anything official. And, if they VERBALLY told Daboll and others (which is how BB found out) it was official PRIOR to the process being finished, it breaks the Rooney Rule.

Which is what Happened with Mariucci and Detroit years back.

Maybe you should have replied directly to the person who posted the question instead of replying to me. Your response makes no sense to what I stated.

How many minority owners does there need to be to keep the players happy? Right now there are what, none?

What about HCs? How many of those are minorities? Not many I think.

Well, there are the ones who have minor shares of the Dolphins.. And I can't speak for the number of Packers fans who own stock that are minorities. But there are no Majority Owners.

The issue with bringing up "Minority" ownership is that the NFL teams RARELY go up for sale. And, at the times that teams were up for sale, how many people of color have the funds and stability that the NFL looks for?

We, as fans, typically don't get to hear about the different ownership groups that could be considering buying a team. Do we really KNOW if any "minority" stepped up with a bid when the Bills, Browns, or Panthers (the last 3 teams that went up for sale)? I know that, for the Bills, the final three bids came down to the Pegulas, Trump, and Bon Jovi. But I don't know who any of the other bidders were. And I have no idea about who else bid on the Browns or Panthers.

Please do not take this as me defending the NFL for their practices. I don't. I am just pointing out what any half-way decent lawyer will pull out in regards to NFL Ownership. Especially with 6 teams (not including the Packers) having been owned by the same families since 1960.

There are technically 2 "Minority" owners currently. Kim Pegula of the Bills (Asian) and Shahid Khan of the Jaguars (Pakistani).

Yes, they can. The NFL measured the air pressure of footballs the year after Deflategate, and never released the results.
They claimed that they didn't RECORD them despite the fact that the Referees were told to do so prior to the start of the games that year.
The NFL HID the results because it was proof they screwed the Patriots and Brady over.

Well **** - Volin actually has a good point (can't believe I'm saying that???)... it does kind of read more like Bill is saying he misread a text from someone else telling him who got the NYG job...

That's the whole point. The text message told Belichick WHO was getting the job days PRIOR to Flores' interview for the job. Hence, the Rooney Rule Violation.

Yeah, who knows the context - they could’ve just said “Brian” and he misunderstood which Brian.

Volin’s interpretation makes more sense because Bill initiated the conversation by saying he heard Flores “landed somewhere” - this makes less sense for Daboll since he was still employed as the Buffalo OC, whereas Flores was out of work and in need of a job.

The one problem with VOLIN'S interpretation is this text, which he clearly ignored:

Why would the BILLS tell Belichick that Flores is the guy for the Giants?

It's much more likely that Belichick realized his mistake after Flores asked him WHICH Brian he was referring to..

There's now word that Bill sent a text to Josh Heupel on Sunday congratulating him on the LV HC job. Bill's on a roll.
