Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

No Deus did. You taught me that how the board works is that you respond to someone else by quoting the post of someone who has a different viewpoint.
Well, I'm glad you learned your lesson. Pay more attention next time.

I would say that giving the illusion of inclusion is silly. But if that's all it takes to please people, then maybe you're right.
It's a base to build from, but it seems people can't even let that happen.

And tomorrow we get the big WFT name reveal on the Today Show, oh boy!
At least we'll finally have something important to talk about around here. I'll be watching to see if Dan Snyder reaches a point where he can't control his urges any longer and lunges for Hoda Kotb.

more like complaining about Bronco brass showing up an hour late to a job interview with Flores, appearing hung over, and showing no interest in conducting a serious interview.

That sounds pretty damning to me, though not very provable since it is based on interpreting behaviors rather than a trail of facts.
I would love to see this on SNL.

Jim Breuer as drunk Elway

I think you have your stats wrong
You're 0-11 for a 0% winning percentage. I may be wrong, according to you, you may actually be 1-11.

it's getting bigger....

Wow! At 100K per loss Hue must be loaded. ;)

I'd love to see the Super Bowl production crew do a video complete with highlights and telestrator markings and Nance/Romo/Aikman/Buck voice overs showing some of the terrible Bengal losses, in honor of the sacrifices Hue made to get the draft picks the Bengals used to get into the Super Bowl, complete with pictures of Hue with golden teeth and diamond ear studs and necklaces and all kinds of bling-bling lying in piles of cash.

A man can dream, no?

I believe him on the Miami stuff too but doubt he can prove it. The suing the Broncos and Giants part loses credibility though. Legally they owe him nothing, not an interview and not a job. His pride may have been offended that they did not treat him the way he wants to be treated but that is a him issue. If he had just gone after Miami the NFL may well have helped but his firebomb approach, although it may result in a go away payoff, puts the NFL in the position of protecting Miami.
Actually it should be easy to prove. He wasn't getting $100K in cash that would have to be reported ot the IRS. If he has check for $100K or multiple ones, the writer of said check has to explain what it is for if it is over and above his contract salary...

You missed a big one:

Ross wanted Flo to tamper with "a prominent QB" which Rappaport is reporting as Brady.

I have many problems with this report, not least of which is Rappaport is an NFL employee reporting on the integrity of the NFL. Huge conflict of interest. Seems pretty convenient to have it be Brady's name linked to this. It's too clean. He's retired.
Ah yes. Tampering.

This whole thing stinks. It's way too convenient.

If you read the Bronco's response, it says 5 members of the Front office were there at 7:30 am and conducted a 3.5 hour interview. It doesn;t mention Elway specifically and doesn't say he was there at 7:30 so they both could be correct..

I think a lot of people see it as a facade.

A genuine desire to win is IMO the best path to organic inclusiveness. Would the patriots be as successful without Crennell, Fears, Flores, Mayo etc?

If black coaches make up, say, 10% of all coaches, then any owner that doesn't genuinely consider them for a job is only putting in 90% effort in trying to win. This would naturally lead to losing. The Rooney rule doesn't require genuine inclusiveness.

My point was that a different route needs to be attempted. Reduce revenue sharing for majority owners that consistently lose. Money is the language of the the owners, and if you make less of it by not doing your due diligence and making the best hiring decisions, then there might be a path to actual change.

Because all this and MORE happened under his watch.

Just watch how big this monster becomes. McCourty opened his mouth. More players and staff will be coming forward with tales of racism in the NFL. Companies and those affiliated with the NFL now have diversity and inclusion departments and want no part of anything perceived as racist. Just a POC HC hire here or there is not going to fix this in the day of equality.
How many minority owners does there need to be to keep the players happy? Right now there are what, none?

What about HCs? How many of those are minorities? Not many I think.

I wasnt talking to you. I was responding to someone else by quoting your post.
The way this board works sure is confusing.
Not for almost everyone else it's not

Let's rewind the last 24hrs

Brady Retires
Flo claims racism vs the Giants, Broncos and Fins
Flo claims his fmr owner wanted to take a dive
Hue Jackson claims his owner PAID him to take a dive
The WFT changed their name who also have serious issues they need to still answer for.

I'm sure more is coming.
My understanding is they are actually playing a pro football game in 11 days, but I can't confirm...
