Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

Why would it be awkward?
Schefter specifically named O'Brien as a potential replacement 20 minutes after he reported that McDaniels would interview with the Raiders, 3 days before McDaniels officially took the job with the Raiders. It's going to look like the kind of pre-determined outcome that is at the center of Flores' lawsuit, regardless of how qualified of candidates they interview or how seriously they take the interview process.

I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Nfl prospects are judged on more than the combine, genius.
You just defended combine skills as the justification for racial differences in players in the NFL, so...which argument do you wish to make?

Man I know that feeling sending the wrong text to the wrong person.

You're totally wrong. I never discussed Pederson at all. Deus brought Pederson into the discussion I was having about Steve B. vs. Flores. If you want to discuss Pederson with Deus, have at it. I don't. And I didn't. The only time I mentioned credentials, was in reference to Carmelo's question about Steve v. Flores. I don't give a rat's tail about Pederson.
Then you should quote the post you are responding to. Your post quoted the one about pederson

If they had made the decision to hire Daboll BEFORE they interviewed Flores, then they were just screwing with Flores. You want to nitpick about when it was "official" then that's what it is, nitpicking
Actually quite the opposite. Trying to read their minds is nitpicking. Daboll was not hired when Flores interviewed.
BBs text actually confirms that because he says “I hope it with out if that’s what you want”. There isn’t a question of whether he wants it or if it will work out if he is hired.
If they offered him the job and he has not yet accepted of course they keep interviewing.

Why would the Giants keep the interview with Flores if Daboll was locked up? There is no reason for them to do the interview if he is locked up.

LOL

Nothing will happen to BB other than maybe being outside of the circle of trust from whoever his connection is with the Giants.

Of course, NOTHING will happen to those teams for CLEAR VIOLATIONS that should mean forfeited first round draft picks and millions in fines...I'll sit back and let you people figure out why...

The reason why the Rooney rule is so stupid is that any owner should be hiring in their own best interest.

In a language they may understand, Goodell and the NFL should be putting more emphasis on making the owners want to WIN and make more MONEY. Parity shouldn't come at the cost of enabling idiots.

Cut down on shared revenue and dismiss the fake anti-racism bs. Hire the best candidates (Flores being the cream of the crop).

Find a way to get rid of the dumba$$ owners.
So the answer is to just sh!tcan the whole inclusion thing?

Isn't it in the owner's interest to give fans at least the appearance that a POC has at least a tiny shot at the job, or if nothing else, at least the voice of one POC is being heard even if it is only for a couple hours in an interview? Is that too much to ask for?

Or is it THAT important to keep the plantation owners as a class separate?

In a league that works so hard on appearances, can't even this tiny gesture be a part of the scene?

And presuming that it is, can't the teams just get their sh!t together and execute it as intended?

Don't POC fans spend money on football too, and want to feel included?

Isn't it dumb to disenfranchise them when it's so easy to just be inclusive?

Is being non-inclusive so important to the cabal we call the NFL owners?

Yep, indeed that's what Al would be doing. Mark, not so much.

TV time...

He is not good at texting.
That is why he does not do SnapFace or Instachat.
I have only owned a cell phone for 3 months of my life 7 years ago.
Reason: I would have been in BB’s situation 500 times over

You don't seem to realize how this forum works.

I did quote tweet and respond to Carmelo.

Deus was free to then quote tweet my response to Carmelo by bringing up something totally irrelevant. I responded to Deus and that's what you read, but nowhere did I even say anything about Pederson.

Using the owner's own words against them...

Terrible optics: Whites front and center, Blacks on the outside looking in.

Can't CBS see the images they are projecting? Or maybe they do...
