Semi OT: Flores suing NFL and NYG. Texts from Bill involved in the suit.

Brady retiring
McDaniels to Raiders
Flores suing NFL
Jim Harbaugh going to Vikings
AFC Championship game classic comeback upset
NFC Championship great game

Last 3 days have been nuts
Not sarcasm: Should add Broncos officially going on sale to your list. Teams don't change hands that much.

This could be a thread on Reddit's AITA (Am I the a**hole) subthread ....
Flores NTA, Dolphins, Giants,Broncos YTA............

I was surprised Flores got the Miami job given he was not very well know. I thought it was going to be a tank job year. Then I was surprised how well Miami did when I was expecting a Suck for Luck year. Flores has done pretty well there and I thought for sure he would be getting another job this year. His team did start off really bad this year other than beating the Patriots starting 1-7. If I owned a team that started 1-7 I think I would fire the coach.

The Rooney rule is stupid as it punishes a team that knows who they want to hire already. Some people may not mind having an interview knowing that it is just a check box for the Rooney rule, some people won't. I think the Giants are safe, it will just be played off that Dabol had a great interview and BB just heard that and brought to the next level. I know many times I have interviewed great people I would be more than happy to hire but did not cancel the remainder of the scheduled interviews.

The real test will be the $100k per loss and can that be proven. I'm not even sure the Brady meeting is an issue if the Patriots don't complain as they knew at that point they were not bringing Brady back and may have given his agent a green light to look elsewhere. The Patriots never even made a contract offer to Brady.

Wait, Harbaugh is going to the Vikings? It’s been so crazy I didn’t even see that news…

I heard it as he's going to interview tomorrow at the Vikings...

No I am dealing with facts. Daboll was not hired until after Flores interview. Hired as in offered the job, accepted and signed a contract.
Rumors heard by belichick are irrelevant.
If they had made the decision to hire Daboll BEFORE they interviewed Flores, then they were just screwing with Flores. You want to nitpick about when it was "official" then that's what it is, nitpicking

So what does this mean for BB?
Huh? Nothing. The issues are with Ross and the Giants. BB was just congratulating a former employee on landing a hc gig. When he realized what was up,he apologized to Flores. Why would it mean anything?

BB's name is the headline. His texts are harmless from BB's point of view. For a moment i was scared.

unless they go thru discovery and subpoena phone records etc

as long as Bill was just receiving information, we have nothing to worry about

The Dolphins on the other hand, yikes.....

I hire and often find a candidate I love but I don't cancel the remaining scheduled interviews.

No the Rooney rule is not stupid. It's necessary.

No the Rooney rule is not stupid. It's necessary.
it is? then why have teams across the NFL spectrum refused to even implement one demonstration of the rule since Rooney died?

That’s not the post you quoted.
You quoted one about pederson
You're totally wrong. I never discussed Pederson at all. Deus brought Pederson into the discussion I was having about Steve B. vs. Flores. If you want to discuss Pederson with Deus, have at it. I don't. And I didn't. The only time I mentioned credentials, was in reference to Carmelo's question about Steve v. Flores. I don't give a rat's tail about Pederson.

You quoted the post about Pederson not one about belichick.
You're hopelessly confused. Deus responded to my answer to Carmelo by bringing up Pederson. I never brought up Pederson or discussed him, nor do I care about him. If you want to discuss Pederson with Deus, go ahead. I never did.

?? They did make a contract offer to Brady. Brady brought it up when he talked to Kraft the night he accepted the Bucs offer.

Kinda makes my point doesnt it?

in all honesty Ken, when it comes to nitpicking you were addressing a 'member' who lives and dies between the nit and the pick, when he isn't busy lying or declaring victory. In fact given half a chance he'll go on for many pages over the picking of a single nit.
