mahomes will be 26 when he wins his 2d SB this year. Brady won his 2d when he was 26. Mahomes passing Stats obliterate Brady's at this point in their careers and Mahomes has more wins (50 to 48) and playoff wins (8 to 6) than Brady at this age.
When he has 5 SB wins, then maybe we can START talking if he "might, in the future" unseat Brady given he lost to Brady in an AFC Championship and superbowl.

I mean there was a dude with a Josh Allen G.O.A.T. in progress sign at that game. I mean what the hell. Everybody just wants to start annointing people these days.

Mahomes is special no doubt, but he has to win A LOT more Superbowls before we should even start the conversation.

I would love to see mahomes success rate at winning or tying a game with the ball in his hand with a reasonable amount of time left on the clock, say a minute. plus. today he did it with 13 seconds. I bet you can count the amount of times he's failed in that situation on one hand.
Anyone of us on this board minus a few invalids could throw a 5 yd screen to Hill with no one within 10 yds and then throw a 10 yarder to Kelce with a guy playing 5 yards off him. It’s hard to really compute how bad the Bills played the last 13 seconds.

Unfortunately for Mahomes the AFC is looking absolutely stacked at QB for like a decade going forward. And maybe Wilson comes to the AFC.

Lol it begins

QBs played great but the defense i mean. How can you not squib kick with 13 secs left? how is davis wide open on 4th and 13 ?

See you in September GreenCow. Was hoping you could pull this one out, only to lose next week. Good season, Josh Allen is legit. Hopefully he’ll be able to get past Mahomes in the future. I’m sure he will.

The Rams have a shot.
Eventually Stafford is gonna **** up in the SB. He’s no Mahomes. Mahomes gives that team the edge over every team left, that unstoppable force, that, no game is safe with him hanging around. What he did with 13 seconds left to tie the game is astounding. He’s not going to be stopped, even by the great Rams defense. The Bills had the #1 D, and Mahomes put up 42 against them.

TB12 is the goat due to longevity, consistency, hard work, leadership, grit, and the 7 rings. But I've seen enough of Mahomes that this is the most talented/poised young QB ever. Remarkable quarterback. Arm like Rodgers but poise like Brady/Montana. His window is short though before their cap blows up soon (what year?)

Agree. Despite today it's hard for me to erase thinking Stafford is a fraud and will fold at some point. Never having had a playoff win in 13 years leaves a stink on a QB that's hard to get rid of after 1 playoff game.

Mahomes has played like putrid garbage in 2 straight Super Bowls.

Watching the playoffs so far a question I can’t stop asking myself is: are defenses capable of playing defense anymore?

Yeah the comment by @Tunescribe is apt. The NFL playoffs is looking like the NBA. Might as well just tune in for the final 8:00 because everything that happened until that point is irrelevant. 20 point lead? Who cares. The scoring in the final few minutes of the game reaches levels where it makes all subsequent strategy somewhat meaningless.

Usually it isn’t as bad as this weekend, but it may be straw breaking the camel’s back for offensive rule changes.

It just sort of cheapens the game when whatever happens, you can just get bailed out with 60 easy yards. Mahomes and Allen are great players, but it became repetitive since both could absolutely destroy the defenses in the end.

It makes some of the history of the game kind of cheap too. I mean, Elway‘s famous drive, move over…because Mahomes and Allen had like 5 game winning drives in one game. Kind of ridiculous.

Maybe they are two incredible outlier QBs…I don’t know. But the Bucs game was pretty insane too.

It's getting next to impossible for teams to play pass defense effectively because of rule changes. I've been complaining about this for years, but not being a young ADD fantasy football/video game enthusiast apparently makes me irrelevant. Glancing through stats at profootballreference.com you can see how drastically things have changed over the last 20 years. When you have QBs routinely completing 70 percent of pass attempts, defenses are reduced to SLOWING DOWN scoring vs. actually STOPPING it. I actually find myself rooting for bad weather to help even things out.

Thanks.

Can’t help but wonder what this game would have been if Tre White was there.

Yeah…in fairness, they lost Mathieu.

Allen was extraordinary. I wanted him to win, not just the game, but the Super Bowl, because he was so great.

It pisses me off that the defense gave the Chiefs that yardage. I mean…wtf? Why? How can you miscalculate so badly?

FCB always thinks other teams and players are btter than what we had or have always.
