If Mcdaniels becomes a head coach we don’t have much of a choice.
Our staff is going to get raided.
If Mayo Flores and Mcdaniels get HC jobs.
We will potentially need to bring in More coaches.
I believe I am correct when I say we already had one of the if not smallest coaching staffs in the league.

Here's the thing:

If you're a company dominating a market, the goal is to keep a continuing philosophical culture. When you're a company like Apple or Amazon, you want to make sure everyone is following established processes that are working. You want to train your own people based on your own business culture. As long as you're on top, the goal is continuing to replicate a winning formula. That worked for the Patriots for many years, developing their own people and promoting internally.

As so often happens, a shift happens in every company that dominates a market. Sometimes it's gradual, and sometimes it's sudden. But the company realizes that it's no longer on the cutting edge of innovation. The philosophies that worked for a long time, no longer seem to work. And even worse, it seems that all of the top people merely echo the same concepts that worked in the past. Everyone merely becomes "a yes man" and tells the leader he's right to go back to those same exact ideas that made them successful, and the problem is always identified as the people or personnel not properly carrying out the code; the leader, having hired and taught these people that same philosophy, doesn't see the blind spots.

This is why bringing in external people at high levels of the organization, and bringing in coordinators and assistants from other teams, is essential for the Patriots. They need to be challenged and adapt. It doesn't mean they need to change everything and that everything they're doing is stupid. I don't think anyone can look at this team and think the coaches are buffoons. But they're clearly not innovative like they used to be. And they're not going to get innovative when all of their coaches were brought up in an environment where you build a team a certain way, coach a certain way, and are unable to think outside the box. This isn't just a gameplan thing...it carries over to the entire culture, personnel decisions, and the draft.
This Might be the truest post I’ve read on here.

200% behind this.

Pretty much everything that needs to be said, without the football focus.

EDIT I wanna add to this great post

Of course there isnt a prototypal guideline to change the philosophy of any entity. But, unquestionably as said by Ice, Number #1 you admit there is a problem

#2 you seek help. External. Non-biased and non-parcial to the paradigms in existence.

The offense does look dated at times, but it’s clear the WR’s are the real problem. Bill needs to put more emphasis on finding a game changer.

Right, and I can’t possible agree with anybody who thinks that’s a good thing.

I don’t necessarily think It’s a good thingz
I think it would be terrible because I think that he has been promised the HC job.
Question is how long can he wait for Belichick to retire.

The NFL is always evolving and we have an organization still thinking we are in 2010 when it comes to schemes, game plans, and player evaluation. Look at what happened when we gave some folks with fresh ideas influence our last draft. Coaching staff needs to be the next focus.
Our defense did just fine when we last won a Super Bowl on February 2, 2019. Somehow the league has passed Belichick by in less than 3 years.

We're reevaluating the whole organization though? After a playoff loss?

I mean, maybe after a losing season last year, but it's not clear we're on the ascension?

In Allen's first year, the Bills had to wait for an improbable play in another game to even qualify for the playoffs. They were one and done like yesterday's Patriots. The following year they missed the payoffs altogether.

We're in a rebuilding process. We have a lot of vets long in the tooth who won't be here for long, but we have a lot of youth who are key components too.

Time to take our breaths and not make hasty decisions, but BB need to evaluate all the issues that will arise in the future because of the presences of his sons. For such a smart man, I can't believe he is letting this happen. Lets say he promotes Mayo over his son, what will happen? Or worse he promote his son over Mayo? This was not what I thought of BB. Still love the man but he needs to sort this **** out this off season.
He could bring in a great seasoned veteran defensive coach, Vic Fangio, and that should ease the blow of passing over Steve and Jerod.

Was that the worst defensive performance ever in the postseason by a BB led team?Did the Bills offense do anything except score touchdowns? No punts, no field goals, no turnovers just touchdown every possession -- I mean...the Bills aren't that good. Has that ever happened even in the regular season?

I stopped watching after the third touchdown frankly. Unlike the 28-3 game where I never stopped watching. This game I stopped and played Mass Effect and am very happy I did.

The McVay and Shanahan hype for being “creative” is way over hyped. They both have an insane amount of talent at WR.

McDaniels is fine. He makes good adjustments and is a great in game coach. Our offensive talent at skill positions is not.

Special Teams definitely needs a new coach.

Yes. A few weeks ago when the Bills did that in Foxboro.

Bill always gives the credit to the players and in many places this year they should have gotten the blame. Numerous times the defense was in position to make critical stops and didn't make the play.

If Kraft fires BB, then we need a clear cut GM. Make Wolfe the GM.
If Brady wins this Super Bowl the drum beats for Belichicks firing will be loud.

But, Brady isnt winning this Super Bowl or any other.

Worst thing to me was watching Josh Allen look like Superman against our pass rush and the D tackles getting pushed around.
Need that big monster in the middle of the line.
Wilfork, Washington, Traylor type.

At least Steve didn’t make an embarrassing face last night when the camera was on him.

If Tampa was at or close to full strength, I’d be more confident. But I have a bad feeling the Chiefs are going back and winning again.

It’s now or never for Rodgers.

Bucs Packers are my NFCCG.
Bills Chiefs are my AFCCG.

It’s a fair point, but we also had a few players that were the best to ever play their respective positions on the team. That can paper over a lot.

My Super Bowl pick is GB vs Buffalo
