Wasn't that surprised by the loss to the Ravens. Maybe the blowout but the team honestly wasn't all that the whole year. Same for 2019 once the Ravens exposed the Boogeymen as pretenders. Philly Super Bowl loss was avoidable and I'll leave it at that.

The Jets loss was a shocker. Pats manhandled a really tough schedule that year so I really didn't see that coming.
Boogeymen were the #1 defense in the NFL.

Don't want you to miss this so cross-posting for your viewing pleasure. It helps occasionally to know how a REAL coach operates!

did welker write that for him? lol

2009 and 2019 were just not good teams.
2017 was a very close championship game, but the Philthy Fecals still should've lost because they deserved to lose and we deserved to win.

If Eliot Wolf leaves and BB retires within the next 2 years, the Pats are going to sharply nose dive.

Good article by Reiss....talks about the best coaching jobs BB has done and where this year ranks.....Personally I thought last years job was amazing...Mike thought 2001 was his best...a little before my time....well, enjoy the read:

I like ranking 2014 higher also because of how BB managed the major distraction leading up to the Super Bowl. Lesser teams would have let that derail their prep for the game and got them blown out. The Patriots had to win that game.

That team also played 11 out of 16 games against teams that finished .500 or better, including a stretch where they played the Broncos (12-4), Colts (11-5), Lions (11-5 believe it or not), Packers (12-4), and Chargers (9-7). And only lost the game @Green Bay. That 2014 team and the 2004 team just felt like finely tuned machines for most of their respective years. So as much as I like the years when BB scraped together a good team from lower talent rosters, I think what he does with a well built team will always stand out to me. Plenty of coaches do far, far less with good rosters.
