Go look at the year Prescott won ROTY and see what Elliot did, 2k combined yards and 16 TD. Prescott still got it.
Jones also has almost identical passing numbers as Kyler Murray did when he won ROTY
Chase's season is also downplayed by the fact that Justin Jefferson had a similair season last year and lost to Hebert.
It could go either way. What happens if Mac comes out next week and has a good game against miami and gets the Pats to 11-6 and chase has another 6 rec (13 targ) 50 yard game against the browns?
Chase has put up all-pro numbers. Jones has been good, solid for the most part but it's not even close. Especially after last week.
Whomever wins it wins it but Chase should win in a landslide. Pretty much every offensive award at this point is skewed heavily in favor of quarterbacks and since it is a passing league it probably should be but if we are going by the definition of "which offensive rookie had the best season?" I think it is Chase by a mile.Ezekiel Elliot had 2k combined yards and 16 TD and was a 1st team All-Pro and still lost to Prescott who had similair numbers to what Jones has now.
Prescott's best game that season his statline was 27 of 36 for 319 yards 3 TD 0 INT. Which he only had 2 games over 300 yards. Elliot on the other hand had 6 games of 160+ total yards. Elliot's rookie year was more impressive and consistent than Chase's and he still lost.
Herbert was 31TD to 10 int with 4300 yards in 16 games. Mac has 9 less TDs and 2 more picks with 800 less yards in the same amount of time.

Chase's season is also downplayed by the fact that Justin Jefferson had a similair season last year and lost to Hebert. So while it's the best rookie season it's helped by the 17 games. Jefferson had 88 rec 1400 yards in 16 games. Chase is 16 games is at 79 rec 1429 yards.
It could go either way. Shouldn't be just based on stats. Chase has Burrow as QB and some good players around him. Mac is throwing to Bourne, Meyers and Agholor not exactly the best group of WRs. Lot more on Jones shoulders than Chase's. It probably won't be a factor here though simply because Mac is a Patriot and has them back in the playoffs which the media do not like,
Everything you say is true. But IMHO, individual awards mean next to nothing in the ultimate team sport and I wouldn't mind Mac flying under the radar in that respect. (Of course, Brady fans will slit their wrists if he doesn't win MVP.)
It is kind of funny, how many of the Brady Boys don’t want Jones to win. Almost like his winning will somehow tarnish Brady’s legacy.
He is playing with one of the best group of linemen and a top ranked defense and a rb corps that allows him to throw 8, 6 yards for firsts.

I'm sure Chase will win now after last week. But, to see our rookie QB be right in the mix in that mid-level tier of QB's is astounding.
He's comparable with Ryan, Murray, Jimmy G, Tannehill. Primarily, he started every game his first year - that's rare.
I don't see any reason why he won't climb more next year, in all statistical categories.

The two of you are ****ing embarrassments; can you at least wait until your boy has EVEN ONE ****ING PO WIN before annointing him as the Next GOAT while at the same time disparaging the Real GOAT?
Mentioned this before but what Waddle and Smith have done is also very impressive all things considering. Tua might have to switch to righty soon if his injuries keep taking a toll. They run a ton of RPO's. Waddle might have Chase #'s in another offense. He's also putting in a case for the best Bama WR over the last few draft classes which is saying something.Should be noted when Murray won OROY when no other rookie was having an historic season. Jacobs had a good year, 1100 yards. AJ Brown had 80 1100 8 I believe. Terry wasn't that far behind. Chase is having just an incredible season. He's been the best player on his team multiple weeks as a rookie and putting up impact #'s at a position that's not easy to pick up next level. Sure Mac plays a more valuable position but how many great performances has he had?
Also Herbert played behind a much worse OL. Like bottom 3-5 every week OL and it took a doctor puncturing Tyrod Taylor's lung for Herbert to start. He wasn't exactly playing for a HOF coach or staff. Lynn was a clown. This is before we torched the vaunted Jags.

I thought it was Mac's a few weeks ago but it's Chase's to lose. No shame and nothing wrong with losing to a player like Chase. Who was better than Jefferson at LSU. He's a QB though so he has that going for him in terms of favor.

Only Tennessee ran more than Phila I believe (we're like 6-8 ) but Smith still has an outside shot at 1K.
Another name that gets no mention is Pitts. He played about 30% out wide, slot and inline for Atlanta is will have almost 75/1100 in his first year. Only 1 TD but he's been very good considering he's been their #1 threat on offense as a rookie.
Man did I like them both in the draft for us, Humphrey is such a stout center for them in pass and run blocking , snap accuracy , he is the highest grades center in the league I believe , what a value in round 2 and the packers drafted myers over him I believeSlater and Humphrey have no shot but there's been a few really good OL'm this year.
Hobbs the cb for the raiders was quit a findActually quite the rookie class this year. You have real difference makers and solid contributions from about 20-25 prospects.
I still think what Moss did for the Vikings gives him the edge but we've had some unbelievable rookie WR lately in Beckham, Jefferson and Chase. Just don't see guys come in and do what they've done.Mac had a great rookie season. The only problem is he's competing against a rookie who probably had the greatest rookie receiving season of all time.
Had a 5th on Hobbs he's been great for them. Another team that is completely dysfunctional from top to bottom. Amazing some of the moves they've made lately. Hudson has been a huge asset in Arizona. Some teams just can't figure it out. Seriously there's like 7-10 teams run well and just a free for all everywhere else.Man did I like them both in the draft for us, Humphrey is such a stout center for them in pass and run blocking , snap accuracy , he is the highest grades center in the league I believe , what a value in round 2 and the packers drafted myers over him I believe

The leatherwood pick isn’t paying dividends so far he is playing RG now but really struggles ,
