I've found over decades that there's almost always smoke where there's fire. Even completely absurd and stupid sounding stuff like Gronk and Brady upset about their contracts and pay and incentive amounts. Or Brady tension about JG. Steve's rise in the organization came with EVERY chance to fail. He didn't just appear on the Pats sideline one day. He spend 4 full seasons as a coaching assistant learning everything from breaking down film to getting the coffee. At every step between being gofer and a position coach, he has had to be able to DO the job. He had to gain the respect of the players as well as his dad. He has had to follow the same path as McDaniels, Patricia, Flores, etc.

And, after following BB for the past 20 years, do you REALLY honestly believe that if Steve didn't have an aptitude to coach in the NFL, he'd have a job here?? He's been doing this for NINE freakin' years. THis hasn't been a meteoric rise. This has been more like like a long trek that has many more miles to go. In every area he's taken from coaching DB's to LB's he's HAD success. Now he's calling the defensive play calls. It's not a huge responsibility since whatever is called will often be changed by a formation, motion, or personnel grouping. This is still a cooperative group effort to coordinate the defense.

He's an easy target for those here looking for low hanging fruit. Kind of sad, but understandable. There ARE some very lazy people here.

Steven Belichick is 34 and he will definitely be a defensive coordinator and head coach in this league for a long time to come. He calls the defensive plays for a defense that is first in scoring defense, and yet somehow you try to label him as a failure. So back it up, where is the evidence to support your claim that he sucks ? So far all you have done is spew sh.t, but then again that’s all you can do because the facts show that is doing a good job.
