McDaniels to Bears talk is becoming deafening.

That would seem to depend on how much control he'd have. Ownership appears to be problematic there, I don't know anything about their GM Ryan Pace.

i do not think ownership is problematic, when the grand daughter passes away, the Ryan family will likely take over.

you can’t go three steps onto northwestern’s campus without seeing something named after Ryan. (Same with Richardson and the wofford campus)

Zampese!? He's not related to Ernie Zampese...is he? Do you actually want NEM 2.0 (aka DKF) to have an aneurism right in this thread?
Haven't a clue. I just know that he's an extremely experienced offensive coach who's served in a lot of different systems and has done good work recently with the mediocre Heineke, who is basically a poor man's Mac. As an experienced journeyman I'd expect him to be able to handle a QB similar to the one he's working with now and I think he's an interesting OC prospect.

Bill O'Brien is rumored in line to return if McDaniels leaves. I think Mac will be fine regardless, getting him through his rookie year would be the most important part of his development.
What about the OC from Carolina that was fired, Brady. He was a highly coveted OC out of LSU. I would think he would flourish with Jones, similar type QB to Burrow (minus the running) who was Brady’s QB at LSU.

Man, the drumbeat of McDaniel to the Bears is really going to grow louder now that he's demonstrated that you don't have to actually pass in order to win.

McDaniels will get paid after this season. All depends on how much the Bears or other teams are willing to offer. His first stint at HC was tragic. Let’s hope he learned few things over the last few years. There won’t be BB holding his hands anymore.

MacDaniels is already “ getting paid.,” that happened when he turned down the Indy job he had already accepted. I don’t think he’s going anywhere, Kraft has him slated take over for Belichick when he retires, that’s why he is giving him HC money now, so he doesn’t get poached. And after the job he is doing with Jones this season it would be idiotic for any Patriots fan to want to see him leave.

On the other side of the field last night, Brian Daboll was a good example of how sometimes you have to take advantage when your stock is high. He’s gone from one of the consensus top HC options to Bills fans wanting him fired.
