MNF pregame thread: Pats @ Buffalo

he New England Patriots downgraded rookie outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins to out for Monday’s AFC East matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

This rookie has not even been on the field in Regular season. What is wrong with him?

It’s a relatively deep position and I’m thinking his responsibilities here will be different than in college, so they’re bringing him along slowly.

The Bills schedule is NE, @Bucs, Car, @NE which is harder than our schedule @Buf, Bye, @Colts, Buf, unless you must think the @NE games are easier than the @Buf games .

Bills have games against Mac (rookie), Cam (lol), Wilson (rookie) and Brady (goat) left.

Patriots have games against Allen (MVP favorite), Wentz (former MVP favorite), Tua (5 game winning streak) and Lawrence (rookie).

I think Buffalo has the easier schedule, but it’s close-ish.

i think most fans are already pretty nervous. Just many may not be willing to admit it. 6 convincing wins in a row is what it is

I think they still have to win the games, period. The margin of error in the AFC this season is slight, but the Patriots are in good position with a 7-1 AFC record, however if that slipped to 7-4 they would be in trouble. 3-2 and they are in, 2-3 and they may miss out. A win in Buffalo will be huge for them.

IDK, with this an away game, if he was definitely not playing he would be ruled out already. Because he is in the COVID protocol, he can’t travel with the team. But he may have had a negative test today since he hasn’t been ruled out.

So latest forecast for Buffalo Monday Evening temps low 50's going to high 40's by the end of the game, Rain throughout to game winds 20-25mph.

Tough for even Allen to throw deep in that wind. Pats OL need to bully Buffalo D as Indy did.

Jimmy G has not played here in years, I think he started two games when he was here, not sure he would be on the examples. With that said, we do not know what Mac is going to be, other teams have had two hall of famers back to back, so the pats didnt corner the market on having a pretty good QB replace a QB who left.

Jimmy G is an NFL quality QB even if he's not here.

And we don't know what Mac Jones is going to become. But he's already shown to be an NFL quality QB. I mean the team is 8-4 and he is passing for 70% what does he have to do to show he belongs?
