MNF pregame thread: Pats @ Buffalo

Apparently Pats are the 1st team to average over 30 points scored and under 10 points allowed in the month of November since the 2000 Ravens.

A bit nuts this team is doing stuff that they didn't even do in Brady's whole career with the team. A lot of "it was Brady" people probably not happy about this

Pats need this win more than the Bills do. Bills have an extra division win over us and their schedule is easier than ours the rest of the way. The next 3 games (@Buf, @Colts, Buf) are as tough a schedule stretch as I remember us having in a while. Lose them all and the playoffs are not a sure thing anymore.

Or win them all, raise eyebrows around the league and close in on a first round bye with the Jags game still on the schedule. Whatever way works for you. :)

Their schedule is harder.
We play each other twice = wash
They play Tampa (harder) we play Indy (easier)
They play Carolina Atlanta Jete we play Jax and Miami.
A wash, except theirs is harder because it’s 3 games rather than 2

Bills need this win more because they are at home. If they lose they are a game and a half behind heading to Tampa and having to come to Foxboro.

Carolina Atlanta and Jete is a cake schedule imo. Panthers don’t have CMC and they do have Cam. Lol. Atlanta and Jets stink. Hopefully at least one of them has an upset in them.

Jax is cake for us but @Miami is not.

Their chances of losing to any one of Carolina atlanta and Jete are higher than ours of losing to Miami. No way we lose to Miami week 18 with the division on the line.

The Bills schedule is NE, @Bucs, Car, @NE which is harder than our schedule @Buf, Bye, @Colts, Buf, unless you must think the @NE games are easier than the @Buf games .

@Tampa is more difficult than @Indy but the Colts on the road is a tough matchup. The rest of the Bills’ schedule is a cakewalk. Barring an injury to Allen, I can’t see them losing any of those games (obviously their lost to the Jags demonstrates that anything can happen).

In contrast, @Miami is no sure thing. They are peaking at the wrong time for the Pats (Bills lucked out playing Miami when they did). I still think that Bill will find a way to beat Tua but Flores is going to try to pull some thing out of his arse from a scheme perspective to hurt the Pats playoff chances and will have his team motivated to play, even though they likely will be eliminated at that point.

The Pats’ ace in the hole is hopefully the late bye week, which looked to be a unfortunate pull prior to the season but now comes at just the right time.

Winning tomorrow is still more critical for the Bills, because if they lose at home, I don’t see them recovering mentally from that loss and beating the Pats in Foxboro.

Depends how you look at it : maybe NE needs it more for the moment - but I’d say (1) they have six in a row and a loss doesn’t break them (2) the rookie QB vs the one who’s supposed to win now (3) Buffalo has a window they were hoping to exploit. Lose here and you basically had one year of fun.

I am hoping/praying that it is good news that Dugger hasn’t been officially ruled out yet.

If he had tested positive yesterday morning I believe that he would’ve been ineligible to play tomorrow night and seems more likely than not that this would’ve been announced or at least leaked yesterday. I expecting the worst but hoping for a TJ Watt-like scenario.

Also apparently this Pats team is the first to average over 30 scored and under 10 allowed in a 6 game stretch since the 1999 Rams

'99 Rams & '00 Ravens well we know how those seasons ended, not saying it will happen here but if you don't think this team is a SB contender with them doing stuff that hasn't been done in 20 years then you never will.

Just for this game, I mean. If they have Mills be the replacement, I have a queasy feeling. Mills have been quite underwhelming, so far.
Mills had a couple of down games while injured. He's back healthy and has been very good. This has been noted by everyone who has watched the games and posted in post game threads.

Bills also have the Jets and Falcons, both at home. Their schedule other than the Bucs and us is very easy. Don't think they're losing more than 2 the rest of the way and the problem for the Pats is that a split with the Bills gives them the division tiebreaker because the Pats lost to Miami in week 1.

Me, trying to look for Dugger in the photos:

Not surprisingly, he isn’t in any of the photos. Collins is, however. Looks like he definitely will be back, which helps.

I agree, whoever loses the home game, if it happens, is at a disadvantage and since this one's in Buffalo, pressures on them.

Looks like Jamie Collins will be activated from IR tomorrow. He is flying to Buffalo.

With the Bengals losing today- it looks like if the Pats go 2-0 in their next 2 games they clinch a playoff spot no matter what other teams do.

Or at least I can’t find a path on the playoff machine for them to miss out if that happens.

he New England Patriots downgraded rookie outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins to out for Monday’s AFC East matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

This rookie has not even been on the field in Regular season. What is wrong with him?

What's the machine say if Baltimore loses tonight? I wanted to ask this question in the other games thread but I got banned from that thread.
