MNF pregame thread: Pats @ Buffalo

I have him on my fantasy team.

His best overall game all season was vs KC who is terrible at covering TEs. He scored 2 TDs last Sunday vs NO via 3 targets for 32 yards. Thus far, Diggs has 7 TDs and Knox has 7 TDs.

Sanders drops a lot of balls @ a 59% catch rate. 20 more targets than Knox and only 5 more receptions to show for it.

Sanders 61 targets - 36 receptions.
Knox 41 targets - 31 receptions.

Its safe to anticipate that 77% catch rate Diggs will be erased. 75% catch rate Knox should be getting lots of looks from Allen.
Yea he's def having a decent year. Just doesn't scare me.

Now watch him go off...

Good morning everyone....here is your Thursday's' lineup:

Wondering how they go about scheming the defense with Dugger out.

Hurley and Perry both seem extremely boring/bland and offering nothing interesting or stimulating IMO. Curran, probably the most interesting of the bunch, but just sat there and gave the other two the floor rather than speaking much himself.
I don't listen to him very often, but I love reading Hurley's articles and leftovers. I think he's funny.

Gotta focus on stopping the run here.

Singletary went off on us last year - both him and Allen need to be watched carefully.

20-30mph with "higher wind gusts possible" and a freeze from rain at 50 to high 20's could make things interesting in this game.

No simple plug in unfortunately. Would be a major disruption to the defense against both pass and run. At least they have a little time to plan, but it will be big challenge.

Yup, that weather favors the team with the better ground game.

Less concerned about losing Dugger's coverage abilities than his instincts, athleticism, and ability to play in space.

Joejuan should be able to handle Knox and if we are without Dugger, it's fortunate this is the week Collins returns since he checks all the boxes for "instincts, athleticism, and ability to play in space".

Collins never had the instincts for the position, nor the ability to play laterally or cover in space... Kinda why Bill let him go, twice... Don't know if he's any longer the same athlete either... But hey he's still >>>>>>>>> Jalopy Tavai, so he's got that going for him... which is nice...

I'm not sure I trust Collins to cover a decent TE anymore. He couldn't cover Owen Daniels in the prime year of his playing career.

Not that Knox is a superstar, but not having Duggar to handle those duties will be felt. He isn't just easily replaced by JJ, in that regard.

People shouldn't be counting Dugger out just yet. If he's vaccinated and asymptomatic, it takes just two negative tests in 24 hours for him to be able to return.

Thanks. JAllen seems to play terribly during fairly windy games (see last year's Pats@Bills game), so I'm hoping for more of that.

I think I’ve yet so see a player play the same week being in a situation same as Duggers.

I agree. Collins Jr. is not an instinctive player IMO. And in space he is lacking as well. Hence, as the Captain says, Bill let him go twice. Having said that Collins is exceptionally athletic and is very good if given a specific goal or task that fits him well - that is why Bill keeps picking him back up after he lets him go (of course role players have lower salaries). At this stage in his career, I doubt any other team will sign Collins.

I think the Captain and I disagree on Williams. I think Williams is OK, not bad. Seems to be another guy without a lot of instincts but who is improving year to year. Williams was too grabby, like JC Jackson used to be, but he seems to be getting past that. Williams will never be great, but when a player goes down, I think Williams is an above average replacement. Maybe not a ringing endorsement for a 2nd round pick, but it is what it is.

Heard a stat today. The division with the most wins the last five weeks is the AFC East.
The dolphins are quietly doing well recently. They’re 5-7, which is only one game behind the Browns and Colts, both of whom are considered at least “good”. Props to Flores. They have several winnable games ahead of them, they could compete for a wild card spot.
