Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Titans

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Sorry if this was already said, but weren't those two TDs by Bourne incredible. The first one, okay, a degree of difficulty. The second one, how did he do that? We got ourselves a bargain!!!!

Run D was terrible... at least Tannehill has proven again why he's not a top tier QB when it depends on him. Offensively need to get better in the redzone. Lots of yards, but too many FGs.
Not a single holding call on TN, and they were grabbing constantly. 1 of those makes a run game look worse on any particular drive.

He and Mac had a bond in camp when Mac was getting 2nd team reps. It is still there. And Bourne has real skills

Thanks for sharing. The Colts certainly missed out a couple years back. I think it would be a coup if some future NFL team managed to pry Josh away as HC. He certainly is ready for his next opportunity. I hope he gets it. He deserves it.

The non call on Tannehill's big run was wild. The Titan lineman literally grabbed our defender and spun him around then tackled him. A Patriots started complaining right away before Tannehill even got to the LOS on his run.

yeah...you noticed that too? as the season unfolds I'm seeing more anti-Pats non-calls as the team keeps winning. Want to know what Goodell and his scumbag manipulators really think? watch the morning football show with that birdbrain moron, NIck Wright, you'll get Scumbagdell's message to the rest of the league, as this total shytheel birdbrain punk once again rips and tears away at Mac Jones and the Patriots

Yup there goes Mac Jones with the Tom Brady 'blinders'! How dare he 'freeze' N'Keal Harry out of the offense?! Doesn't he know he's misusing our 1st round WR talent?? :poop:

Levity aside, that game was a thorough de-pantsing of Mike Vrabel's Titans. The Defense played outstanding which is obviously a huge key to our victory. JC Jackson continues to make a case to get PAID the Benjamins. My tip to BB - PAY the MAN!! He has fully earned it and is entering into his PRIME years! ;)

But the other big Key to our win - Mac Jones play at the Quarterback position. 310 yards passing, 2 TDs, zero turnovers, and 71% completion percentage. And it wasn't all 'dinking and dunking', Mac Jones stretched the field to the tune of a 9.6 YPA and 123 quarterback rating. I'll tell you right now that Nick Wright will try to come up with an utterly BIZARRE BS excuse when his feet get held to the fire. He predicted the Titans win and he has constantly been downplaying Mac Jones on television.

I'm sure he'll still try to find some way to take credit AWAY from Mac Jones whom he has hated since the 2021 draft process started. Thanks for being an ***hat, Nick Wright, I'm gonna enjoy your public roasting/humiliation on national TV when the entire panel rips into you after this huge Patriots win! :haha::haha::rofl: Your certificate for Clown college has now been processed Nick!!

@patfanken Last week you stated that you didn't want to see what happens with Mac Jones when the Pats run game can't get it going. I told you that I was comfortable with it and trusted Mac Jones. Now you have your answer to what happens since the run game didn't really get going till late in the 4th quarter. Mac Jones play at QB kept us in this game until we could finally seal the game late. I expect to see a MEA CULPA in your next "Idle Thoughts" edition concerning this game!

I wouldn’t call it a great game and I’m not on the Super Bowl bound bandwagon yet but glad they took care of business today against a crippled team.
I was right in that corner up front, and it was awesome. This team is having a freaking ball. After the game they were all so hype, and it showed how much they get along.

This year is crazy. Look at the Steelers/Bears game, they are definitely affecting the scores.

Good, bad Ugly, Patriots.com , Mac sucked, in case you didnt know . Paul making case that Mac was solid, Duce reluctant Mac ok, Hardy Mac sucked. But KB, Jonnu, Jacobi good
Hardy think everything the Patriots do sucks.

Looks like training wheels are off? I liked that they didn't go into the locker room at halftime with just a short time left on the clock. They did that early in the season.
Defense kept playing hard even after giving up big plays on the ground. Paid off with those forced fumbles.

Nit picking...holy crap, if nits were produce, the Patsfan board is the f***ing Central Valley.

This guy sucks, that guy sucks! Bourne was overpaid! Mills is too expensive! Godchaux stinks! Bentley is terrible! Wynn is awful!

What games are some of you guys watching, seriously?

I mean, are you kidding me? Yes, news flash, the Titans are probably the strongest OL/DL team in the league (SF would be the other). They were missing some players, sure, but they'll hang with anyone. They dominated the stat line against the Texans, but lost the game. Vrabel built a big, strong, ugly team.

Pat out-gained them, had more yards per play, more first downs and a lot more points. They went toe-to-toe with a bully and punched right back. They played 60 minutes (well, 59, not counting the last minute of the first half!). Titans D got worn down. Pats D didn't.

Mac Jones was the MVP.

There's nothing to complain about here. They played a powerhouse team and beat them. They went against possibly the most physical team in the league in cold weather and traded them punch for punch. I said in the game thread, that I don't want to play TN in the playoffs, and I hold to that.

But if I were a Titans fan, I wouldn't want to play the Pats, either.

Also, what a pick up Bourne has been. His role grows just as much as his chemestry with Mac Jones

By the end of it all, we might have had 2 mega bargains this offseason, Judon and him
Not at the same level, but Mills is also an excellent value for what they’re paying him vs his production. He’s not a #1 guy but he’s been solid as a #2 and they’re paying him like $6M a year or something.

What is funny is how the Patriots can shift the narrative.. every time they beat someone..

Carolina dumped their newly acquired starting QB for washed up retread Cam Newton..
Rumblings from the media paint #1 pick Baker Mayfield as a JAG.
Tennessee isn't any good because they are really really injured..
The Jets pretty much gave up on Zach Wilson and were excited about Mike White.. haha..

Rex Ryan and the rest of the Pat haters are going to be crying in their oatmeal. Haha. People can't accept that this team is damn good..

What Mac Jones is doing at the pre snap line of scrimmage is freaking amazing for a rookie.

And then the accuracy with the passes is incredible.

no qb, even Brady, is 100 percent on every pass, but Jones is playing lights out even with a few head scratching passes!

in the old days, you could divide the season into 4 game quarters.
This year, we were 1-3 in the first quarter of the season. 3-1 in the second quarter of the season and 4-0 in the third quarter of the season. All with a rookie qb!

I am so glad we got Jones in the last draft!
