more controversy coming

He’s right about Mac and cheese but it stays around because it’s the one thing the **** up in the family might be able to bring.

but I do want to fight him about calling stuffing dressing. I have never seen someone put stuffing on top of their turkey.
Dude stuffing is stuffing in the Northeast.
Its dressing in the South. Its actually the same food.

it's only stuffing if it is cooked inside the bird, where it belongs
Not anymore. Its been proven to cause food poisoning. Yeah we had it cooked inside the bird growing up til the USDA or CDC or whoever told everyone to stop.
No chef would do it. You can keep the good taste by adding a lttle turkey and giblets to it b4 you cook it.

Of course the government knows what is best for us.

Since Im sitting home with a concussion i got time on my hands.
Cranberry "sauce"? Nit aptly named.
It aint a damn sauce. Sauce is liquidy.
Cranberry sauce is more like jello.

LOL at this. Love this guy's willingness to make life more interesting.

My son in law grew up in southwestern VA and rural GA, and my daughter discovered that he considered mac and cheese to be a vegetable. Legitimately had it categorized that way, as if having meat and mac and cheese was a fully balanced meal.

Also, one of my first lessons in systemic racism was in a nutrition class where we learned that people with African genetics are very likely to be lactose intolerant, and a long standing core food of American low income food programs is cheap cheese product, and drinking a carton of milk was essential to get adequate protein from lunch. Some of the black kids in the class said that they lived with chronic indigestion all afternoon just as part of life.

Like most people i grew up with that canned Ocean Spray stuff. It was ok.
But when i got older one of brothers-in -law was a serious chef and he had a made-from-scratch cranbelly relish that was awesome.

although i gotta say i made a fancy version of sweet potato casserole with marshmallow last year, and it was really, really good........gotta see if i can duplicate it this year......i thought it was going to be low-brow, but it was great

No thats the only way to cook em

actually rub em with a little olive oil and throw on some salt, and toss them on the grill.......they come out pretty good.......some year i'm going to throw one in the smoker, live, to see if i can get that "lobster bake on the beach" flavor
