OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Arians said Brady simply overthrew his receiver on the second interception.

Certainly believable

The Saints loss can at least be excused from the Super Dome being a house of horrors for the Bucs and Brady. This loss was far worse.
Maybe the Saints loss could have been excused if they Saints hadn't lost their QB in the first half.

You can tell if it’s an ACL tear on the field. They know if it’s that or not. So either they’re lying or it’s somehow less bad.

If it’s indeed the ACL we’ll know this evening via Schefter with the usual disclaimer of how they need an MRI just to make sure.

There is something to having to throw out the entire defensive gameplan even if the opposing QB is now a downgrade. Which I’m not sure he was honestly.

Brady looked like he didn't want to even throw it. He doesn't trust anyone on the active roster except maybe Godwin who's hurt. Mike Evans is a red zone monster and great on certain routes but it takes him time to get open. The defense they want to run doesn't work well without the lead. The injuries to this team are huge.

There is 0 creativity on offense which is on the coaches and Brady and of coruse injuries.

Long way from how they looked a few weeks ago.

6-3 - they’re not going to blow away the Giants they need to grind out a victory there like they did last year and then a game they should win the next week if they get to 8-3 they’ll be ok but a very tough couple of games.

And yeah Brady looks a bit disinterested - of course his last two drives were TD not his fault that the defense gave up a 11 minute drive but something seems up

The Giants game is in Tampa so I’m not worried. It ought to be a true get right game. But then a road game against the colts the week after.

A couple of things are going on.

Brady just isn't playing that well. Whatever the reason maybe, he just isn't playing well.

Injuries.

Arians offense is reliant on making consistently difficult throws and catches - proof of this? Every other QB that has played with Arians usually throw a large amount of interceptions in their first seasons. That's why the Tampa offense can look very inefficient during games. You can't throw into tight windows 24/7.

I think he's playing okay there was a lot of drops in this game once again.

Was Vita Vea out on that 10 minute+ drive? That would explain why the D couldn't stop the run and get off the field.

Arians on pre-snap penalties, including the first play: "The stupidity has to go away if we're going to go anywhere. It has nothing to do with ability. It's all about execution and being a smart football team. We're a very dumb football team, and that's a reflection on coaches."

Bruce Arians on Bucs defense giving up a 19-play, 10:26 drive in fourth quarter: "For us, we pride ourselves on defense. We've lost too many games, giving up leads in the fourth quarter." (Didn't give up a lead today, but didn't give team a chance to win in fourth either)

With the Cards losing, the Bucs are still in good shape overall. They just have to find a way to grind out wins while guys get healthy.

Rooting for Bucs but something big is wrong in Lombardi Town.

NE did just fine today.

Do you actually think it's just a matter of health? GB and Dallas winning drops TB to 4th in the conference.

Tom with another stinker. It was always annoying seeing him lose games to inferior teams he has no business losing to.

Bucs are undefeated at home. Next 1 at home thankfully.
