So far team has not made a move on OBJ….and that the open roster spot was filled by Jarrett Stidham….per the Boston Herald! I hope they make another move to bring in OBJ….but sounds like situation is a bit murkier right now!
 
Since Cowart was not activated, does this mean he’s done for the year?
 
Now he can finally compete for the job.
 
It wouldn't be surprising if Hoyer was released when they need a roster spot for OBJ.
I doubt they will cut Hoyer, too much risk some other team might claim him. He is better than a lot of backup QBs at a time when a lot of teams are forced to play backup QBs.

One or the other will be inactive on game days, I think BB is afraid someone would poach either one of them from the practice squad.

Hoyer has said he doesn't want to go anywhere else at this point. The real danger is that he has to clear waivers first.

Belichick just said that Cowart (the other PUP guy) will not be moved to the active roster. His season is over.
