You just responded to a "loaded question" with a ton of loaded, flawed premises.
REALLY/? How so. Care to expand your remark

What a load of political crybaby bullcrap. I guess you just can't help yourself.

It's kind of funny how many political references I see in this thread and others and they all come from the same side. If it was the other way around those posts would never see the light of day.
Sorry Boss, but it was YOUR side that politicized Covid right from the beginning and to this day. If THIS is the only way you can respond to my post then it was a weak and predictable efffort.

It's not fun to talk about someone roasting to death in a car accident, so people don't talk about it as much.

There's also not much to even say about it except that DUI homicide is *checks notes* bad.

A celebrity bragging about how they're a narcissistic conspiracy fruit loop who ate animal dewormer because a meathead MMA podcaster said it cures COVID is innately hilarious.

I mean the guy married a fan of Goop style magical "alternative medicine" like eating clay and sticking jade eggs in your vagina, so we really don't know where the rabbit hole ends with his nonsense!
I really hope the whole animal dewormer therapy was a lie and it comes out he really thought he was "immunized" because he ate clay and was to embarrassed to admit it.

We could have a whole Russian Dolls worth of lies

He started liking vaccine conspiracy theory posts online back in February/March. Then this. Doesn’t the whole anti-mask angle pour even more cold water on his “allergic to an ingredient” claim? Yeah, a guy who is a big time anti-vaxx, anti-mask truther just so happens to also be a 1-in-a-million case.

I think it’s funny he expected the public to be so goddamned stupid and thought he could trick people with this. Before it was one lie; now it’s many lies.

AR's medical team? My first reaction...

No Masks! No vaccinations!

It's always interesting to see when someone is really smart in one area of life and almost too dumb to survive in other areas.

What area is he smart in? Being an NFL QB does not require a high level of intelligence.

I would consider QB decision making and reading defenses a form of intelligence.

It is, but it doesn’t always correlate to what we see as high deductive skills. I do think there’s a minimal level required.

I mean, Ryan Fitzpatrick went to Harvard and scored a 48 on his Wonderlic, but look at all the bonehead decisions he made. Eli Manning..same thing. He scored a 39, which is bordering on genius, but he’s known for his errant reads.

It might shock people to know Eli scored a 39 and Peyton scored a 28. The Wonderlic isn’t everything, but I know people in the 39 range, and it’s obvious. They’re often even too analytical, whereas 28 is closer to average. I have little doubt Eli would be naturally more adept at chess.

Reminds me of Moneyball when Billy Beane could never figure out how some of the dumbest guys had the best plate discipline and an instinct to know balls/strikes and read the pitcher, and a lot of the smartest guys couldn’t figure it out. It was all random.

There was an article a few years ago about Brady where he was working out in Costs Rica, and one about Manning called One Trick Pony. It was similar with both of them…while they both study a lot of film, it’s not as complex as some might think. Brady basically said if the defense shifts one way, he throws it to the other side. Manning basically ran the same variation of one play. Both of them went to new teams and simplified the offenses.

Agreed. Also learning an NFL playbook well enough to make literal split second decisions on which alternative rout to take as a WR for example would be difficult for me and I'm not the dummy I appear to be. Lots of various forms of ill-defined intelligence.

A form. Sure.

He did score a 35 on his Wonderlic.

I'm not saying AR is a moron.

I'm not saying hes the next Stephen Hawking.

What I don't think is just because someone is an NFL QB by default are assumed a come to a data-driven, scientific-based, reasonable opinion/assessment.

I don't have a personal issue with him quoting MLK in a vacuum, but he was specifically quoting MLK to say that he has a responsibility to protest unjust rules - something he was absolutely not doing - we only know he was unvaccinated because he got caught. If he didn't catch COVID and get caught in the lie, he would have continued on with his charade indefinitely. In what way is that any sort of "protest"? Folks don't usually protest something by hiding among the ranks of the group they're supposedly against up until they get spotted.

Indeed, Rodgers was cherry picking. Here's the full context, from MLK's letter from the Birmingham jail.
You express a great deal of anxiety over our willingness to break laws. This is certainly a legitimate concern. Since we so diligently urge people to obey the Supreme Court’s decision of 1954 outlawing segregation in the public schools, at first glance it may seem rather paradoxical for us consciously to break laws. One may well ask: “How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?” The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that “an unjust law is no law at all.”
Now, what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law and natural law. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust.

So, at best Aaron is a lazy befuddled cherry picker, at worst he's trying to make the case that a law that aims to protect society from a deadly virus is somehow immoral.

Little doubt quotes.com is in his Friday morning web browser history.

3. I hate that he gave a big FU to all his teammates who have busted THEIR balls for him all season, only to see a key teammate take HIMSELF out of a key game or two. (this one would apply to just about all NFL players who are unvaccinated)
Yeah, I gave the same argument about Cam last year. If you're such a great leader, man up and take the jab like billions of other people do, instead of costing the team you claim to lead a chance to win a big game.

4. I hate him because of what he said on the radio. He literally FLED into the arms of 25% of the terminally stupid Americans who believe that Covid is a scam, the elections were rigged, immigrants are the cause of ALL of our problems, and voting rights should only belong to them.
And to use Dr King's name as a defense, was not only hypocritical and cynical, it was a sacrilege as well.

5. There is a reason why Aaron Rodger who had more physical talent than any other QB before him and only has been to ONE superbowl. When they say he is the most talented QB in NFL history, I don't ever question that. But is he the best, no, and he isn't in the top 10 either, There is a reason why he has had so FEW 4th quarter come backs. So few playoff wins. There is something missing in that guy and we saw it ALL come to the surface this week.

Aaron Rodgers.... You've been EXPOSED.
Totally. Good luck to whatever team wants this hypocrite as their leader.

Think again. I doubt it changes his trade value directly, but I do think this incident took some offers off the table so reduced his trade value indirectly. I think he just made himself untouchable by several organizations. Even if they agree with his anti-vax hokum, they can't accept his outright lying about being vaccinated from a person they'd want to be a key team leader.

This kind of stand only compounds the problem Covid is what killed the vast majority of them. And it's still killing people today. Covid is fking nasty. Many who survive it have horrible a quality of life now. Thanks to the non vaxer idiots we are having another surge. Visit the hospitals and walk down the corridors of the negative pressure rooms and peer in on the people on vents and high flow oxygen. Its doubled in the last 2 weeks up here. Then tell them that they're dying with covid not by it. Rogers should tell them too
Many? Not one person I know has any lingering side effects. My fiancée is a nurse, and the hospitalized people are the ones you’d expect to be hospitalized with something that a person with average health could easily fight off.

And lol at the unvaccinated being the problem. Tell that to 100% vaccinated cardinals.
