OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Jesus, did Tom Brady sign a long term rent agreement for a room in Nick Wright's head?
Tom Brady lives rent free in everyones head other than Tampa Bay fans and New England fans. Although the way this forum is there is Brady haters here too

It has to be a huge mind blow. Brady literally destroyed their team in the SB and now is leading the Bucs toward a repeat.

Think about the bar Brady has set for all QBs - 3 years with 2 SB appearances and a ring seems like nothing compared to Brady's ridiculous career.

He definitely needs to change his style of play. He can keep the hero ball maybe once or three times a game but he does it all the time when the flat is literally wide open
Mahomes hero ball backyard football style of play wasn't sustainable. Frankly, I'm surprised it took that long for it to catch up to him.

He's going to have to take a step back and like a rookie learn to play within a system. With all Mahomes bad habits, Herbert and Burrow are probably ahead of him in terms of fundamentals.

His resume since the Seattle Superbowl is ridiculous

2014-SB Win
2015-AFCCG Appearance
2016-SB Win
2017-SB Loss(Passing Record though)
2018-SB Win
2019- 12-4 with Harry, Meyers and hobbled Edelman
2020- SB Win

I wonder if Arians intentionally kept Gronk and AB out so they would be as close to 100 percent for the Saints knowing that the Bears were terrible.

It seems so. Then they have their bye to heal up more.

Looking at the standings.
Jets, Dolphins, Broncos, Jags, Texans, and one of Browns/Steelers are pretty much out of playoffs.

Leaving 10 teams for 7 playoff spots

Looking at Chiefs top opponents of Packers, Raiders×2, Cowboys, Chargers, Bengals. They'll be lucky to split it 3-3. And if they lose 1 out 4 against easier teams, they will be 9-8. So playoffs unlikely.

Chiefs implosion benefits the Pat's as it leaves 9 teams playing for 7 playoff spots. Pats have a decent chance.

Biggest games for the Pats are beating the Browns and Colts.

Would be awesome if we got the last playoff spot over the Chiefs. LOL

Realistically, the top 5 spot playoff spots are out of reach for the Pats. So it's really 4 teams fighting for 2 playoff spots. Yeah, vs Browns and Colts are almost must wins for the Pat's. JG let the Pat's down in against the Colts.

Look guys...of course we have a chance but so far we've beaten the jets twice and houston. Lets not pretend our chances are better than KC no matter who they play.

I don't see it that way. I can see 3 NFCN teams making the playoffs and 2 NFCW teams. So the 3 WC spots would be 2 NFCN + 1 NFCW. That's exactly where the standings are right now.

Then you have 4 teams battling it out for #8 ( Pitt, Pats, Indy, KC) that could possibly make #7 spot if one of the above falters.

Really need for the Cardinals Rams and Packers to start dropping games.

Rare to see 3 teams from same division make the playoffs as they play each other twice.
Likely in NFCN, 2 teams are sure bets to make playoff, 1 team will be fighting for 7 or 8th playoff spot, while 1 team will fall off. So that's why my early prediction of 2 playoff spots up for grabs.

Pats played top teams close but that's a good point. I guess we need to see a couple more games to gage where their really at.

But KC has one heck of a tough schedule, so that's why I think the Pats have a better chance then them in making the playoffs.

Yeah the Pats haven't beaten any good teams yet, although curb stomping a league bottom feeder is a much bolder statement than just getting by them like in weeks 2 and 5.

Chargers are a good team. Go to LA and beat them in front of a full house this time and then I might be ready to say this team could be in the mix for the playoffs.

You don't see 2 NFCW making it also? That leaves one spot.

I think you're writing off the Saints too quickly, and Seattle's postseason hopes depend upon the speed of Wilson's return.

As an aside, with Wilson being out for a while due to his PCL injury: how'd you like to be the Bengals/Colts/Bills in the next 3 weeks, when they line up and know that White's starting against them?

Thursday will help. I guess we need to vote for the Packers?
It's a tough call but at least we'll have a better idea on whether the Cardinals are really that good or not.
