im actually wondering if he will play... at all... for the rest of the season
I am kinda thinking when he comes back they might just rotate him with Wynn at LT on a snap count of sorts, or something.

Ted Johnson being extremely critical of a defense that gave up 13 points... definitely grinding his Belichick axe here

I wasn't that impressed with the defense today myself. I think the Pats would have given up far more points against a good offense. The Jets suck. I wouldn't totally trash the defense, but I think it is was ok at best.

I have watched most of every game of the rookie QB's this year. Trevor Lawrence is the only one I would choose over Mac. Mac has been better overall this season, but Lawrence will be elite. Whatever happens this season, I consider it a success because I am sure we are set at QB for the next decade plus.

Zach Wilson has the tools, but the Jete factor will kill his career. I will say that had Wilson fallen to the 49ers, I think he would be starting and looking good.

Fields looks awful. He has the athleticism, but he is not ready. I am not sure he ever will be. Could be a rich man's Dwayne Haskins. Hopefully for him, it's just that the Bears are inept.

And Trey Lance. I believe the rumors that the 49ers traded up to secure Mac. Then workouts and time played with their confidence, and their balls shriveled. Can we really take an un-dynamic QB at 3? Well, they went dynamic. He does not look like a QB. Neither did Lamar in his first year, so time will tell. Nobody expected him to play this year, so this is no surprise.

We will be back in Super Bowl contention with Mac Jones. The state of the Patriots is strong!

Ok, one of the negative Nancy's can pi$$ all over me now if they want.
You think San Fran regrets passing on Mac?

If I were him, I’d prefer to continue to the streak. He gets some national recognition, and it’s not for lackluster play.
i'd wager meyers response would be.... "hmm, Nah"

take his word with a grain of salt.

their tackling still makes me pull out my hair.

Wilson is a JAG...how can you look at Mac and his season so far and look at Mommy's Boy and say he should have been the 2nd pick? Ludicrous. The return of Ryan Leaf Syndrome
I dont think Punkys a JAG, he has a million dollar arm and a 10cent brain, plus he plays for the jest. The as we know playing for the jests destroys talented players. There should be a sign above jete headquarters that says All Ye Who Pass Through These Gates Give Up All Hope of Ever Having an NFL Career

During the great QB Controversy of 2016 we can trade Mac's heir apparent to them, make it up to them

Brady's first choice when he became a free agent was the 49ers. Think about it. They could have had either Mac Jones or Tom Brady as their starting QBs right now. They would be in far better shape than they are right now with their current QBs.

I think Shanahan probably has massive diarrhea cramps when he watches Lance throw the ball compared with Mac's accuracy.

Mac has made a lot of big throws the last two games compared to the first five. I’m a lot more encouraged now.

Coincided with Onwenu playing RT and Karras at guard. Amazing what stable OLine play does for a QB's "arm strength".....

.

They would never admit it

They can't. They used three first round picks on Trey Lance. How do you admit you picked wrong halfway through the first season of the Lance error... ummmm..... era.

Mills was bad. And it wasn't good their random backup Jets QB came in and threw 7 for 9 for 1 TD immediately.

But it was a blowout win and the Pats are 3-4. Not a lot of positive weeks anticipated with this mediocre staff so let's celebrate this week.

.
JFC, give it a ****in rest with your p.issing on your obsessive crusade.

See. Jones can hit receivers in stride and/or down the field when the o-line gives him enough time to make the throws.

Finally the OL got it together but of course the Jest were missing Mosely very mucho
With that just a few fractions of a second more, it enabled Mac to hit downfield finally

Interestingly, the one Patriot whose name I don't remember hearing called was the amazing Judon
But that might have just been those useless announcers.
