Byron Leftwich is looking like a fantastic HC candidate. Bucs through week5 are 2nd in the NFL in scoring at 34 points per game, #1 in passing at 350 yards/game. Offense is arguably the best in the league. Leftwich also won a ring last year beating the toughest teams in the NFC to get to the Superbowl and then winning a ring with an innovative offensive game plan.

Byron Leftwich and Brian Daboll are the hottest OC's in the league right now for head coaching positions. It's too bad the Pats didn't know what they had in Daboll, wish he was the oc here. Alternatively, for oc options next year let's consider bringing back Chad O'Shea who is doing a great job leading the Cleveland passing game, or bring back Bill O'Brien after his year in Alabama.

He seems as qualified yet 95% dependent on the quarterback as anyone else.

Given the negative bias by the OP, I know where this is headed, so I'm moving this to the NFL Football Forum since it's discussing someone with no affiliation with the team at this point and we don't need yet another thread in here for him to continue talking about Josh McDaniels.

I posted this thread directly in the nfl forum in the first place, on monday... ??????

unless you are responding to and parroting a lame forum report, from thin-skinned crybaby construction guys, which is not legitimate (wouldn't be the first time)

I moved this one here. It was previously in the main forum.

That's interesting because I've seen it in the nfl forum the last couple days... where I put it originally... otherwise would have put OT in the title plus I doubt it would have lasted 2 days in the main forum since monday if you noted this, now, on a wed, as the main forum mods are on top of things....

All good.

It’s an amazing coincidence how smart Tom Brady’s OC’s all are.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Byron Leftwich is a phenomenal offensive coordinator and he truly deserves to be a HC based on historical norms. I truly hope Leftwich does get hired, the NFL is a prime example of a ton of mediocre people getting hired not due to meritocracy

Leftwich was very good with Winston as his QB too.

I don't think he's just solely a byproduct of Brady.

Good point. The Bucs are averaging 34 points a game now. #1 passing offense in the league. Completely torched KC, GB, NO last year. Leftwich has been doing an amazing job running this offense and being creative with the play calling.

They’re running a lot of plays that were nowhere to be found in the Patriots playbook, so it isn’t all Brady.

Also meant to ask you, did you used to be @shmessy ? Because he also used the exact same line break, period at the end of his posts.

People always stop me on the street and ask me if I used to be shmessy. I politely answer that I used to be NEM.

What the hell? You come back for a post like that? Did not know it was this easy to get you out of retirement this easy.

 Hope you’re doing well. I think if you’re DKF, you should PM me to let me know since I picked up on the clue. I would keep it confidential.

I don't find their offense too creative at all. Seems like more of a byproduct of pure talent + Brady reading defenses so well. They'd be even better if the Patriots offensive coaching staff were in charge. Many probably won't agree because the Patriots offense has been quite poor for 3 years straight, but there hasn't been much talent or quality QB play to help.
