That you mentioned something I said when I was responding to another post. Someone said cap issues in 2019. I was responding to that.
lol....do you really want me to start posting links to all the people that said Brady was why they won? Brady didnt have his pick of 20 teams, Only one team offered him a contract, he had no choice in where he went. To say arians had more to do with winning the superbowl than Brady is comical in the highest degree of comical.
I think he knew there were protection issues that made things tough during the previous two series and he was afraid of another turnover and wanted to take the half to come up with a solution. I didn't like the call, but having gone back and watched the two series before that, I at least understood why he did it.

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. If they went for it and it went incomplete or got stuffed, he'd get killed for that call, especially when you have one of the best punters in the league in Bailey. Either way, it didn't work out, but I don't feel the ire that apparently some people do. Jones was 1-for-3 in overtime, including 0-for-2 to Agholor. It's not like Belichick had any reason to suddenly feel confident about making a play in that situation.
I didn't mind the punt either. The kneeling in the first half is something he has been doing since the last couple of years of Brady. I dont know why but he lost a lot of confidence in the offense in that situation. It makes it worse also that the trend in the league is to be aggressive because the landscape of the league is so offensively driven.
Possible. But then I would think a shotgun formation would help blunt those protection issues. Or at worst, run it and see what happens. Not concede the half. THis isn't the first time BB did it either even with Brady. I think it's a confidence thing and I don't understand why.
Oh I get that. Great coaching calls are always determined by if the players execute. I am just saying I think it would have given them a better chance to win, just like if they had went for it against tampa and not tried a 56 yard fg. In the end you are praised if it works and bashed if its not, but I would rather be bashed going for it, than hoping the other team messes up.

It goes way beyond homerism. As I said. even Arians would have laughed at that one. Arians is a lot of things but he tells it like it is. HE often said Brady would coach and he would just sit back and watch. He does not go after the glory by praising himself often.
Homers are awful. But if there is a segment of posters that is worse it’s the ones that were constantly *****ing when the pats were winning. They know who they are
Right, and I responded to him. I never said you mentioned anything. You jumped into a post I made to him and responded to me. If you are going to respond to a post I made to someone else, you cant take things said in it to direct to you. If you want to call it losing track or whatever, thats fine. If I someone says Harry is great, and I respond that Harry sucks, and you jump in and say, the sky is blue, and I reply, yeah I know the sky is blue but harry still sucks, its part of a chain of posts. But in the end, If it was not directed to you, then it wasnt, and I have already talked too long about it.
