Patricia wasn’t creating schemes behind belichicks back. The patriots had struggled with the Reid offense, and were consistently using light personnel more often.
That season they used the infamous 4 safety package throughout the season against teams that used that scheme.
They weren’t disagreeing about how to defend the run, Adams felt stopping the run should be a bigger priority and they should get out of the 4 safety defense.
I never liked that scheme, but using contrived writings like this to trash a good DC is silly.
Patricia was DC here 6 years and we went to 3 Sbs and won 2. They were 75-21 in the reg season and 11-4 in the post season. His defense, on average ranked 9 in scoring.

So you are arguing it was the defenses fault they lost because the offense turned the ball over ?
The defense got a takeaway at the +22 handing the offense 7 of its meager 18 points.

the offense handed the ball over at their own 16 handing Denver 7 of their 20.

If the offense could have scored 7 points all day on their own and not handed over 7 we win 14-13.
Offense couldn’t do that, they got 11 and gave away 7.

There are several posters, most of them mods who feel Bill can do know wrong and is above criticism. Team Bill was worse when Matt Chatham was around and he was the biggest bill fan boy. We had to listen to Chatham podcast here every week, and a group text was started by Bruinz and luked and fan boys were recruited to their team bill slob fest

I think that Anderson game was the regular season game. He had the long run to win it in OT.

Bill was ridiculous going for those 4th downs. The game was in Denver, not a place where kickers have trouble with the long ones.

- BB felt Deflategate was a risk to his own legacy. He knew HOF voters would hold Spygate against him (and he is right IMO) and this would also taint his own legacy.
- BB was very paranoid about anyone finding any kind of violation in the organization because it would ruin his legacy no matter how small. he had moles throughout the building letting him know about the behavior of staff. Even had NCAA tournament pools shut down.
- Put the onus back on Tom to explain what happened as we know - and that really pissed off Brady’s family and friends.
