Seems Arians doesn’t think much of our secondary

Says the Dolphins secondary (Bucs next opponent) is “a lot better than the one we just played”.

A “lot” better?

The Dolphins has one of the best CBs in the NFL in Xavien Howard. Byron Jones is a solid RCB. Eric Rowe and Jason McCourty have done a good job at safety. They have one of the best secondaries in the league.

I don't think Arians was taking a swipe at the Pats' secondary, but talking up the Dolphins' secondary. I think people are reading his comments wrong. He is saying that the Pats held the Bucs to 19 points and now they are facing a better secondary with the same system and knowledge of the Bucs' offense.

Agree. The Phins have sunk a lot of money into their secondary. I think it's tops in the league.

Arians isn't a real NFL head coach, he's just a bystander. He'll put down his drink and cigar and climb out of his easy chair for media availability now and again, but that's about it. His assistants and Brady do all the work.

The thing I dislike about BA is he answers questions candidly. He doesn't hold anything back. He says it like it is on injuries or player performances. He doesn't gaf. He interacts with the media, laughs, makes jokes. I'm just not used to that.

He overcompensates in that respect because he has no real power and it makes him feel like he's "the man." Notice that all the pointed or provocative things he says end up being inconsequential or outright ignored. Even his "But ... but look at ME" moment after last week's game was summarily dismissed by everyone, except maybe those who laughed at him.

That must be why he won in Indianapolis and Arizona, and currently has about the same winning percentage as Landry and Walsh.

Last four words in the headline cited by the OP lost me. Arians “outsmarted” Belichick? How? By coaching a greatly superior roster to avoiding a last minute defeat only thanks to a doinked FGA?

That was then, after which he retired.

Click bate. Nothing BA said implies any of that.

Arian’s just need to shut up, he almost had his team full of super stars beat by a rookie.

Belichick got his team beat by an opponent that had no cornerbacks.

All the while Tampas vaunted defensive line went up against our fractured offensive line and rookie qb... time to head back to the pewter report deus... you can ck gobble arians there all day long and get applauded for it

So you've got nothing. Again.

Got it.

The only thing you've "got" is a pathetic hair across your ass at half-past midnight searching for something to unload on. But by all means, go ahead and be a big Arians booster/gleeful BB basher. It fits you.

If it involves the Bucs, you know @Deus Irae is going to make an appearance...

with that said, I don't think Arians comment is a slight against NE's secondary. We have a lot of guys who aren't household names. If he's disparaging our secondary, what does it say about his QB who only had 51% completion percentage against us and his team that couldn't score even 20 points?

He's not wrong.

EDIT: Even more so, now that mercenary Lime-Head Jalen Mills has made a business decision not to make the trip.
